    Please reconcile these two statements.
Those in other places in the world are immigrants from a Muslim region. Question is, for how many generations.

    Question for you...

Do you think that surname has Italian roots?

    Another question...

Is my bringing up such a possibility, really impossible as you guys wish to imply?

    Where?

What led you to believe this.

    Question for you...

Do you think that surname has Italian roots?
Yes. It is flat out an Italian word that means gossip or chit-chat.

    Another question...

Is my bringing up such a possibility, really impossible as you guys wish to imply?
You made a very specific claim about the surname and Azerbaijan.

    Where did you get that?

    You have a browsing history.

You know how you search these things.

I'm genuinely interested in where you found this. I showed you the first link I clicked when I searched for "ciancia surname" and the results for "ciancia definition" -- what did you do differently to give you Azerbaijan before Italy?

Yes, 5% of the population with that last name come from Azerbaijan. I was already at that link. I already knew that. I suppose you also believe Jewish people originated in the united States since there are more Jews in America than in Israel.

Why do you always think you are showing me things I don't know?

Just because there are more people in other nations with the same surname, it doesn't mean they hold that nation as their culture.

Are you going to say it is impossible that the shooter is not of a Muslim culture?

What about spelling variations as well, since they don't use an alphabet like we do to....

I'm going to say you made a crazy ass jump to Azerbaijan considering the surname is Italian and Ciancia went to a Catholic high school.

I would not have jumped to the conclusion you did given the known information.

Yes, and I am set to clear history every time I exit my browser.

You know how you search these things.
    Same as most people.

I'm sorry if you cannot follow what I have said, and why you insist of attempts to discredit me. It isn't working, is it...

Remember. I am not claiming he lived or believed in the Muslim culture. I am pointing out that it the likely origin of the surname. I never entertained a timeline of how near in time or how far in time the heritage would be.

Why do you always choose these losing battles with me?

    Right...

A surname with a Roman translation like it translates to...

    Give me a break.

    So...

The surname traces his family haritage as probably Azerbaijan, and probably Shia Muslim.
No, the surname traces his family heritage as probably Italian, and probably Roman Catholic.

    Like his high school.

Maybe it is, but the origins of the surname itself is not Roman. It predates that. His heritage a few generations back could be Italian. Statistically it is most probable. It could however be Venezuelan, Spanish, English, or something else.

What does that have to do with this guy and his attack?

And are you saying the Ciancia region of Italy is has Islamic name origins?

I know it's an Italian name. It's also found in Venezuela and other places. In Spanish it means science, unlikely the origin for a surname.

How about telling us what it means in Italian...
    No it doesn't.

Ciencia is spanish for science, not Ciancia...

I thought the newest theory is that he wasn't actually Kenyan but portrayed himself as such to get into Columbia?
