Who needs to seek professional help? I mean, are you that mentally and physically weak that you would let another grown man bully you like this? He is a gifted, strong black man who was playing in the NFL and living the life millions dream of - how on Earth could he let this happen?
I mean, he's the victim here, but how he allowed this to happen to where he "had a break down" is beyond me. Doesn't absolve Incogracist, but wow. That's is some serious beta activity and if you are really that mentally weak to allow this maybe teammates shouldn't trust you in the trenches.

Huh? You don't think that is a legit question? You don't find it at all odd that a grown, large, successful man who is no longer a rookie allowed this to happen for 2 years without saying a word or doing anything about it? I'm sorry, like I said, the racist idiots actions aren't excused and Martin was the victim, but how a non-rookie adult male living the dream allowed this to happen is beyond me.
First and foremost, I would have gone to management way earlier. I might have taken your basic hazing as a rookie, but no way do I allow for even one second someone to haze me as a 2nd year player. That is ridiculous. Secondly, as soon as the "hazing" took a personal/racial turn, I would have notified him in person that the stops immediately or I report him to the team captains, management and anyone else that needs to know. If he stepped out of line after that, I would literally punch him in the face. If he beats me down, so be it. You have to be a coward to let someone like this extort and belittle you for two years when you are a grown successful beast like this cat. Then you meltdown like a little girl as your way of settling this?
Something smells funny. No one, especially when it's a locker room full of black men who would support you in either calling him out or in a fight, would allow this to happen. This racist idiot Incognito would have only had a kicker and QB on his side in a race brawl if it came to that (which it wouldn't). To me, while this guy was the victim, did nothing to help himself which seems odd as to me. I could get it if it was some weak nobody being bullied by a rich beast. But this dude is an NFL successful beast himself.

Right on point. He's a grown man and was so soft he let another grown man (that he could probably beat the out of) bully him for 2 ING YEARS. I understand rookie hazing--to a certain extent--but to let this happen for another year tells me you don't have the stones to step up for yourself.
Incognito's career is over--and should be since he's sucked for 3 years now--but I can't imagine the abuse defensive ends/OLBs are going to lay on Martin if he continues to play in this league. It's obvious words affect him, so I hope they wire both lines for sound on Sundays

yea you're waaay off base. there is obviously more to the story and we don't know what martin's mental state is. unfortunately, he isn't as mentally strong as you are and that is why he removed himself from the team so he can learn how to handle this situation in a healthy manner.

No excuse for not standing up for yourself--especially in the NFL. Not only could he probably beat the out of that redneck, he could also do it without fear of being cut since he was a highly touted OT and RI is an aging, troubled OG on the downside of his career. One shot to the chops in front of the rest of the team would've sent a clear message not to with him.
