My answer is always Earthworm Jim 2, either to be remade with new graphics/physics or to get a full and proper new sequel, but I think I'd be terrified of disappointment if it ever happened.
Wasn't thinking simple HD makeovers. Completely remade classics. Here's a few I'd love to see remade:
Streets of Rage
One of the sickest games of my childhood. Took the Final Fight formula and made it better IMO. Yuzo Koshiro used to make miracles with the ty Genesis sound limitations as well, he killed the soundtrack on Streets of Rage 1 and 2, and Shinobi.

Manhunt
Would love to see Manhunt redone with brand new HD graphics, a current physics engine, and a load of new killmoves and tools to get creative in the kills. , maybe even shoot to be the first AO mainstream game.
Shinobi
Ninja games can be a lot of fun when done correctly. Would love to see a developer take the Shinobi franchise and remake it w/ a focus on stealth, gagdets, and executions. A two player cooperative stealth ninja game would be the .

Did you like the HD remake of EJ1?
SOR 2 was my favorite game growing up and still continues to be in my top 10. Sure people may like their Battletoads, Double Dragon or Final Fight, but to me, the best beat 'em up, side scroller was Streets of Rage 2. SOR 1 was still pretty good (loved the police help)... never played SOR 3. The music in that game, just ing incredible.
Have you seen this?
I don't dislike it, but I don't love it. I've always preferred the sequel to the original, so playing the first EWJ always makes me wish I was playing the second. The controls are also a bit wonky.
Sick.
I hate your choice in gaming platform, but we can agree on one thing. SOR2 is one of the all time best. I would have liked to see him transition creatively between his tracks, but sick nonetheless.
I agree with the the police support from SOR1. Should have brought it back for 2. Playing SOR2 brings back so many good memories from that time period, and I loved the small details they inlcuded such as fighting through the theme park that was obviously supposed to be Disney evident by the Magic Kingdom in the background. I was a fan of Battletoads, Final Fight, and Double Dragon, I just think SOR2 did things better than all three.
SoR popped in my head as soon as I saw the thread le. Nice OP
Sonic 2
Sonic CD
Sonic 3&K
Gunstar Heroes
Battletoads (HARD AS )
Comix Zone
SoR 3
plenty more
lol at this
lol, there was a huge controversy over that gay boss, and the female dominatrix enemies you faced in certain stages. The US version ofbthe game had the gay boss and the females edited to be less offensive. I rented SOR3, but didn't really care for it.
The Sonic games did get a remake, it's on consoles now.A fan also made his version which you can find online.
Yeah I still play the sonic games till this day, I have the collection for ps3...though the only one to get an HD remake was Sonic CD.
This the fanmade one you're talking about?
thinking I prefer one or the other. I just get a kick how serious PC gamers are about their choice over some stupid piece of electronic. Anyway, I haven't had a reason to build a gaming PC so I chose the 360 and PS3. About six, seven years ago, PCs and consoles were basically on par so I chose the easiest and laziest. Believe it or not, I was really into PC gaming 10 years ago and choosing the best graphics card, etc (last PC I built was a AMD 2600+ with a Radeon 9500 Pro, yeah it's been that long
) But I'm not really digging the PS4 or Xbone so more than likely I'm going to build a gaming PC. The enthusiasm in games is kind of waning on me right now though, so we'll see what I do after some time has passed.
In the SOR series, I used to love going through the bosses again right before fighting the last level boss. I think in the first SOR, you kept scrolling to the left and the bosses appeared room by room. Fighting the twin Blazes in the first one was ing great. I used to play this game with my sister when we were kids and I used to love grabbing her character and body slamming her or tossing her into a pile of goons.I still remember that weird level in the second one with the fake Blanka and weird alien tentacle thing that you had to kick in the head. WTF was that level anyway... so weird.
Negative. Sonic Fan Remix
http://www.sonicfanremix.com/
There are official remakes as well..
Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episodes 1&2 - These ones is nearly identical to the originals
Sonic Generations - does combine some of the 3D play from the Dreamcast days
I'm really not too serious about it. I've only been a PC gamer for about a year now. Other than that, it's been consoles since I got my first with the Genesis back in 88' or 89'.
People tend to get pretty angry when you tell them the new consoles they reserved or plan to buy suck. The "graphics don't matter, you're mad because you're fat and hunched over a desk" stereotypes start, and the rest is history. I get a kick out of ting on people's excitement over the launch of the new systems so I purposely troll whenever possible.
Oh those are what you meant, yeah I have those. Dont really like S4 Episode 1&2 much, but I LOVE Generations.
Yeah, Sega games were weird like that. They would have strange guest appearances that really had no reason to be included in the game. Revenge of Shinobi had appearances by a bootleg Spiderman and Batman as unlicensed bosses. Sometime later after making enough money, I think they dropped the money to license them, and make their appearance more like they were supposed to be.
What about Sonic Fan Remix? You check that one out? Looks ing sick tbh.
yeah it does, unfortunately it seems like it was never released or will be released.
Here's another three:
What'chall know about that..
Goldenaxe
Loved riding the creatures in the game, kicking the elves asses for potions and chicken, and throwing your friends off cliffs to troll them..Good times
Primal Rage
Taking a piss on the opponent as a fatality. Nuff' said.
Fire Pro Wrestling
Dates back the the SNES. Much better than the also classic, Pro Wrestling. Real wrestlers take a on Starman anyday of the week IMO.
Looks like only a couple of levels have been released as a demo. I found this link in the description of the video which should allow you to download that demo. I have not downloaded, so user beware. Don't try and have me killed if you get a virus.
I have never played a remake that I liked at all. I can't even think of one that I didn't hate. The worst one I have seen was Double Dragon. The graphics and sound are so gritty on the arcade and the slow gameplay speed is awesome, but with clean graphics, crisp sound, and fast gameplay it's not very much fun on the XBLA.
None. Nada. Need devs to come up with new ideas. Same with Hollywood
remakes, tbh
Developers are lame now. Fresh IP that has staying power is a rarity these days. Hopefully watchdogs pans out, I personally call all hype but we'll see.
Manhunt for sure man, that game was ing sick, one of my favorite games ever tbh and the Max Payne game's would be nice redone like the third one, which is also badass.
FF7 and Killer Instinct would be my other choices.
Don't doubt Watch Dogs bro, when that blows up and everyone's hooked on it over the summer I'll be here to tell you I told you so
BTW as for new games, Destiny is going to be ing ridiculous as well, can't wait for Bungie's new pet
Zombies Ate My Neighbors
I've never been a big survival horror fan but the genre seems so saturated now that a full on parody is long overdue.
