Johnny is playing better than last year but actually has compe ion this year.
i figured this is a good point in the season where heisman rankings start to become more solidified. as of now according to ESPN, Oregon's Mariota is an overwhelming favorite followed by Tajh Boyd and Manziel. here's the link that tracks the useless, cursed award's status.

Mariota has yet to throw an interception. Manziel has 5.

UPDATED TOP 5

It's probably Mariota's to lose. Only way Johnny gets it is if A&M some how gets into the SECCG.
looks like it's between mariota and jameis now

johnny has actually gone up one in the rankings since taj blew it
i think it all depends on his injury
i also don't understand why mike evans isn't getting some love. he clearly makes manziel look much better.
If he doesn't win the Biletnikoff they might as well quit giving that award out. He definitely bails out Johnny frequently.
Manziel likely won last year because people expecting the Aggies to be near the bottom of the SEC turned out to be a deciding factor. Since they can't top last year's record, people don't notice how well he's playing. There's also a bias because voters won't want to give him back to back trophies.
Manziel is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mariota.
It isn't even close. Mariota doesn't touch Johnny on the football field. You're re ed if you think he does.
Cosigned.
Johnny should win it again, but Jameis will probably end up with the trophy... Unfortunately
Don't know if its unfortunate--the kid is playing pretty well (Miami game could be an issue...) I think the real thing holding back Manziel from making it two in a row is how he has acted prior to the beginning of the season. I mean, yeah, the play should be first in selecting a Heisman but let's be realistic here; the negative publicity is probably stuck in the minds of those whom vote on the honor.
Him already winning it is what is holding him back the most IMO.
Manziel has been great, but he doesn't have the signature win this year. Winston is the new shiny thing, and he already had his signature win.
LSU beats Bama and we beat LSU. Or Missouri wins out until we play them. We must win out for him to have a shot though.
Winston has him in the most important category of all. The loss column.
Uh Oh, now that Winston is bein investigated for a FELONY sexual assult is it Manziel's to lose!?!?
Well see how much airtime this gets....
