if they have free beer, i'll give it a shot.
Not sure how I feel about this.
Part of me thinks that if this continues to grow in popularity it will end up just as bad as any other organized religion.
The other part thinks it's hilarious because it will piss jeebo s off to no end
I know one thing. I would never attend or become a part of something like this.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — It looked like a typical Sunday morning at any mega-church. Several hundred people, including families with small children, packed in for more than an hour of rousing music, an inspirational talk and some quiet reflection. The only thing missing was God.
Nearly three dozen gatherings dubbed "atheist mega-churches" by supporters and detractors have sprung up around the U.S. and Australia — with more to come — after finding success in Great Britain earlier this year. The movement fueled by social media and spearheaded by two prominent British comedians is no joke

Not a fan of this idea because dumbass Jeebo s will point to this and use it as "proof" that "atheism is a religion too!"
Tbh dogmatic atheists are almost as annoying as jeebo s - they are the type of people to post "lol god isn't real!!!" after someone says "pray for him" etc.
One who seeks God through logical proof is like someone searching for the sun with a lamp.
(Shihab al-Din al-Suhrawardi)
I wish you jeebo- s would be honest enough to admit that - instead you try and debate jesus/your stupid, illogical religion with logic - just go ahead
and admit you believe because of faith - you'll get more respect for at least being honest about your stupidity.
Their new tactic is to claim that yes, they believe because of faith, but "science and atheism require faith too!"
Of course, like all Jeebo arguments, it's an extremely intellectually dishonest point, as having an informed level of faith in evidence, logic, reason, and the scientific method is a LOT different from having blind faith in an invisible sky man and his fairy tales, tbh....
Tbh it's not their fault(other then being stupid/intentionally ignorant) - they just regurgitate stuff they hear from their pastors/leaders - "Evolution is just a THEORY!" "Atheist is a religion!!!" etc.
Are either one of you so narrow minded that you think anyone who believes in "an invisible sky man" as you term God, as being a "Jeebo ", as you also term it?
In case you weren't aware, there are many many beliefs and as many different definitions to explain, define, and even name that "sky man", such as God, Universal Consciousness of Mankind, etc., and definitely more than can be simply lumped into a childishly simplistic view as originating purely from Jesus alone.
Only ignorance is shown by your statements, whether you intended it so or not.
Just saying.![]()

atheist circle jerk to be the biggest ever!
See, this is another argument the jeebo s hide behind -"who said I was christian??!! maybe I believe in god of the nature, or god as a spiritual term for everything!!!".
But of course, it turns out he is a christian who believes in the 6 day creation and other bible tales![]()
jeebo ? what are you in the 6th grade?
Meh, will just make the atheists who say "atheism is not a religion" look like complete hypocrites.
Your false statements can't hide your obvious lack of reading comprehension skills.
Thus your feeble attempts to confuse others by trying to lump me into certain categories fails miserably and again only shows your ignorance. It's like me saying I made apple sauce from my apples, and then you arguing that I couldn't because my peaches were not in season.
My statements and many of my beliefs are on record here in this forum, including my beliefs of pro-evolution theory, despite you trying to obfuscate the issues.
Try again sometime when you are better informed and have learned the art of simple discussion.

Why don't you start another thread whining about it![]()
He can't be because my cousins' son is in sixth grade and has better reading comprehension and rational arguments than he does!
In fact he read the guys statement after reading mine and fell on the floor laughing!![]()
I hope these "churches" are going for tax-exempt status as well![]()
Beat me to it…what's fair is fair.
Do you believe that belief in Jesus and/or repentance are required to get into heaven?
As simply as I can put it, "NO".
