How do I do this? I tried one way and my antivirus protection said it may be unsafe. Thanks.

I have no cable, but I live in Ohio, so it's easy for me to pay for NBA League Pass BB and watch Spurs games. The Spurs are only blacked out when they play the Cavs (2x per season) or play on national TV.

I have a comparable problem watching Cincinnati Reds games, though, during baseball season, because MLB.TV blacks out local games. But a paid VPN in combination with my paid MLB.TV subscription allows me to get around geographic blackouts (including the two Spurs-Cavs games).

It's still cheaper than having cable, and both NBA and MLB streams are high quality and reliable.

TL;DR = NBA LP BB + VPN (if needed)

So, what I've done is use Firefox and an add-on called NoScript. It's free and blocks any scripts from loading automatically in the browser (which is how you get viruses from websites). Then you enable the website's script itself and if that doesn't work enable each script one by one until you get the feed to play. You'll be blocking any other virusy scripts that way and can still watch the game.

It's a little tedious as you figure out which script needs to run but it's the safest way to browse any site. Blocks all popups as well as embedded ads and sites load faster without all the ads. And for a nice bonus, (umm, from what I hear) it works like a champ on pornish sites as well.

Streaming sites are fine if you have adblock on your browser. I can't give you the name of any sites, though I will say that I prefer watching sports in the first row of an arena rather than anywhere else.

Noscript + adblock = lots of protection.

But you STILL have to use common sense.

NEVER install anything from a streaming website. And I mean, NEVER.

search reddit for league pass discussion. only works with archived games, but it's worth knowing about, a good alternative
