It's not like ST is anything like real life. It's just an outlet and people work that outlet in various way. Some people create completely fake lives(, but whatever), some people work the shock value angle, some people are attention s and some just talk a lot of because that's what this place was made for and why it is essentially unmoderated. You can easily go a little(or a lot) overboard with what you say and there are no repercussions due to the anonymity. It's easy to get someone to take it seriously and that's what makes it fun. If you are getting mad enough to fight someone on the internet you probably need to spend a little more time interacting with people on a face to face level.

My point is that what you said is not entirely true and I would bet that most of the posters on here are an extension of their real selves. The way I view most of the comments on here is that they are an extension of themselves from real life. If I find a co-worker making racist comments on here, I'm not going to think, "Oh It's just a forum. He's faking". I will take it seriously.

No more responding to Fkla...no matter how much he follows me around. I wasted a lot of time last year arguing with him last year and it took way too long for me to realize that that trying to reason with someone who loves chicks with s, thinks grey posters have advanced comprehension skills and begs for a Mexican flag on an internet forum was fruitless.

Aside from news that's broken, I'm probably going to stay away from the top floor all together. I haven't even posted much in the game threads or any other topic as the greys have hit an all time low.

In one stroke of the brush I both stayed with the initial spirit of the thread and laid down the bait. Predictably, this brought on a response from the target. A few posts later...after the mission was accomplished and the moment was over, this was posted:

Overall I'd like to find a little more balance. I stay way too pissed at things I can't control...govt, work situations, stupid people, etc. I have a good life and I need to concentrate more on that.

It's easy to get someone to take it seriously and that's what makes it fun.
