without the best sg in the league

After dropping 31 against Toronto in the Gay-DeRozan chuck-fest, now Jeremy has 25 points already in the 3rd Quarter against the 76ers. ALL HIS FIELD GOALS are 3s with 7 of em. Harden is out at least this game so maybe he's in for another run. Never seen a player look like complete for 75 games and then heat up like this.

harden didnt play, so is he going to bully lin for this loss?
Lin's game requires him to have the ball in his hands, but he is obviously not good enough to be the main focus of the team's offense. We saw that in NY, and we saw that this game.
His defense is atrocious, and he is turnover prone. That said, he's a decent backup PG who is pretty much perfect for running a 2nd unit on a marginal playoff team.
Lins defense is not atrocious, watch some games smh.
He's a capable scorer/playmaker who is average defensively and struggles against pressure D. Too bad he's got a terrible coach and ty teammates because he can be a pretty legit player in the right environment tbh.
is there any possibility to let Rin represent the Chinese national basketball team, like da Becky for them Russians?
didnt he represent taiwan?
lin is just a ball dominant player, of all the games without harden he had linsanity stats.
He has trouble going around screens, he is not quick enough to guard quick guards, not strong enough to guard big guys. His problem is directly opposite to Harden's, he tries hard, but he's just limited offensively.
For example, last year's Rockets (which finished 28th out of 30 teams in points allowed, and 16th in defensive rating) was, by any measure, a below average/bad defensive team, and yet Linsanity had one of the worst defensive ratings on the team. The only players getting regular minutes and fared worse than him was Parsons, Morris and Patterson.
Perhaps watching too much Steve Nash and Derek Fisher have lowered your expectations, but Lin's defense is bad.
He could be a starter, just that his game is not suitable for it. He can certainly run a team's offense relatively well, but he cannot be counted on to carry a decent team. He can even be a very good starter on a horrible team, and like a said, a perfect leader of a 2nd unit of a marginal playoff team.
I wouldn't trust him leading the 2nd unit on a contender because of his defense and turnover issues.
I would even say that he is an average to above average PG off the top of my head, just that his game is not suitable for a starter role on a playoff team.
he'd be a great backup on a contending team IMO. i'd take Lin over any pg on the Spurs not named Parker
Lin played great. I like him, and Im not gonna stop saying it!
He's not being used correctly in Houston nor is he being developed correctly. Woodson had Lin playing his best basketball and cut his turnovers down significantly. He needs the right coach and players around him. Kid is still learning.

By the way, I'm looking at McHale's time management. He has Lin playing 48:37 minutes. I guess he never heard of sitting his players to conserve energy. In fact, he's got 4 players over 40 min. When would you ever see Popovich do this?
