To be fair, the 2002/2004/2006 squads were a result of the USA getting too complacent in international ball. Manu was balling especially in Athens.

and also because Europe developed a really intelligent tactical game to make up for their lack of athleticism and talent.. and some of those aspects were imported to NBA, eventhough only Spurs actually fully embrace them, with an American touch (coach Pop is a fan of Obradovic and others)

Still, in the end of the day, the level of the players are the deciding factor
