Suppose I have a black friend and I want to call him " " in a good maner as black people supposedly do to each other. Why can't I?
Depends on how well you know the person. My black friends use all the time when greeting or talking about each other. Me, I use dog or man. "What's up dog/man" will never get you trouble.

Its funny how Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy used all the time in their skit and nobody said nothing about it, actually laughed at it. We are sure a fickle, panties in a wad society.

agree with the notion that blacks can say the N word freely amongst each other because we're not saying the word with ill intentions. i don't agree with using the n word around non blacks or allowing non blacks to use that word to a african american under any cir stances. i don't understand the brothas who allow their non black friends to call them a /er, is pathetic. i do find it funny when non blacks call each other , though. but then again, 'acting black' is cool these days.

Mutually exclusive statements. You can't on one hand not have an issue with it because "there are no ill intentions" while on the other hand have an issue with it because of race. Intent has no skin color. So if the issue is the word being used and the intent of what you mean by it, then anyone can say it as long as their intent is harmless.

i don't have an issue with anyone using it. i said i don't agree with everyone using it and i find it humorous in some cases.

It's coming around. Dip s like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson went on witch hunts looking for any use of any race related epithet towards blacks and dragged people through the mud because of it. Then the media grabbed on and they've made it the hot story of the day any time someone says it. Guess what, now the media doesn't get it's fill from white people saying it. They now are going after blacks as well, and even though it's hit and miss, it's coming around to the point where the blacks who think they have carte blanche to use words they've deemed offensive, and sit up there on national TV and say "you white folks can't say it but we can", that's going to be looked down upon for the hypocrisy that it is. Blacks can rally around that all they like, but the media is owned by mostly non-blacks. That's a product of having a black man in the Oval Office, and that's where the blacks have now begun to be judged on the same playing field as whites in terms of racism.

    It's coming around.

I say all the time, and while I don't really give a when others races say it(usually s and Arabs say it too much), even White people, I've never really understood why non-Blacks want to use it so badly, tbh..

There are people getting angry about Blacks using now, which makes no sense..why do non-Blacks care so much if Black people can use it but others can't?..I've never understood the fascination, just use a different word, tbh, God..

I don't use it at all. It's not part of my vocabulary. My next door neighbor is black, a retired Marine drill Sgt, and he doesn't use it ever. The only people I know who use it are young girls, older women who hang with young girls and people who use facebook too goddamn much. I'm sure blacks use it to each other, but that's their business. We can use the word mother er in the same way, you my mother er. I cannot say that to a stranger though.

And I get the concept of being 2nd class citizens or worse for centuries and now having something of your own that you feel you have earned the right to, but the media doesn't give a .

They aren't. is from the word "Negro" meaning "black". White people aren't black. Even a candy ass troll like you should know that.

kinda perhaps, however when you support the movement just because it benefits you for the moment don't act offended when that movement comes for you. You have to be careful what matches you strike because your house can burn as well.

Meh, it's a double standard but a justifiable one. Black people are the ones whose ox is being gored here, if they want to use the word with their own vague set of rules then so be it. I only think it's wrong when black people act like any white person who says that word just handed them a "kick my ass for free" coupon. But black people individually picking and choosing where that word is acceptable or not really shouldn't be of any concern to white people. It's really easy for white people to avoid any sort of controversy, just don't use it.
