Asik is at his peak of his career tbh. Obviosuly he's being a whiny pussy..But when you have dwight in the same team and your minutes reduced to at this point of your career, it's going to scuk big time.

Apparently this guy is getting traded.
    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...nter-omer-asik

Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski says Rockets general manager Daryl Morey has already started shopping Asik around the league:
In an effort to unload disgruntled center Omer Asik, the Houston Rockets have engaged in trade talks with multiple teams and are demanding an impact player in return, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Rival executives say that Rockets general manager Daryl Morey has been active in discussing possible deals for Asik, but his asking price has been too high so far. Morey has been willing to accommodate Asik's summertime trade request, but has found little traction on possible deals.

^ Shiiiiit...might as well trade him for a bag of Doritos. He'll be DNP until the right deal comes along, he should have just kept his ing mouth shut and played so we could have moved him quicker.

Stan Van Gundy and Morey got into a funny argument over trading Asik on the LeBa show a few days prior to the season..SVG asked Morey when he was going to trade Asik since it's inevitable, obviously Morey kept getting annoyed and tried to play the PC role and claimed Asik-Dwight played great together in preseason..

They are friends though. There was some humor behind it.

Hasn't that 's knee been swelling and ? Houston can't possibly be stupid enough to be making that up and killing his trade value.

No his knee was never injured. He held out from playing at all until he was traded, which they tried to talk him into playing. They needed to make it look like an injury so it wouldn't become public and be a distraction. His trade value was going down either way. It is much worse if teams knew he was throwing tantrums.

No way, a knee injury is much worse than a pouting crybaby to potential trade partners. Houston is George Bush re ed if what you're saying is true.

They actually didn't say much publicly at all really, all they said it was a thigh bruise, which I think it actually was initially. They always said x-rays were negative. Then they didn't say anything for two months. It was never his knee though. What could you get in return for a guy who quit on a winning team only months into the season in which whoever trades for him has to pay 15 million next year?

More than you can for a guy who quit and kept having his knee swell up.

I'm sure teams would ask for medical records regardless.

Plus teams have to know why he's not playing. They know it's not because of injury. Putting it in the media would be a huge distraction to the team.

& you being hidden away down there you can get away with it...after a fashion. Like SF got away with last June. I mean they still have to answer to us and their mirror each morning, but, 99%+ of the rest of country let 'em be.

    That's Media.

The Lockets are owned and run by s, it's just their instinct to keep any negative info (players' complaints about the team, for example) from being released to the public imho.
