now that that's settled the question is how did ppl get to know Michael Jordan then? well IMO his popularity within the US just exploded outwards and infected pretty much any other country that watched US pop culture. That's it, Jordan went beyond the pop culture barrier. That mixed in with the dominance of Nike and the Dream Team back then made for a perfect storm.
Lebron has yet to even smell any of that.

"DK" nickname is just ing ingeniousDad Killer is one of the biggest s bags to ever step on an NBA court, tbh..he's a piece of on every level..terrible teammate with poor leadership skills, but benefited from having arguably the greatest combination of body/athleticism/talent, along with playing under Phil Jackson, which masked his flaws as a leader/team player, tbh..
Dad Killer did dominate his ty era and the usual 6'3 perimeter players that would guard him, can't take that away from him, although he did always have the best cast in the league, tbh
DK was great for the NBA, obviously..his reign at the top was the peak of the NBA's popularity, David Stern/Nike did a masterful job in promoting him as a likeable figure, when in reality, he was an abhorrent human being that would have killed the NBA had the White public known about his real personality
He was horrible for the NBA after he retired, obviously..he spawned an era of iso players like Kobe, McGrady, Carter, Iverson, Carmelo, etc, with only Kobe having success, and he didn't win les in the same way Jordan did, which is virtually impossible, since only DK had the combination of individual traits + cir stances to win that way IMO..this didn't stop the imitation failures, though..
Luckily, the NBA has changed in the Lebron era, yet there are many delusional fans that still hate
The best teams in the NBA, Miami/SA/Indiana/Golden State/Clipps/Chicago, are all unselfish teams that promote defense and ball movement, tbh..
