Think so. Jordan's success did not translate into a good FO stint, and the same is happening to Kidd early in his coaching career. Does he have enough to turn it around?

I doubt Kidd actually coaches the team, tbh, he's probably a figurehead/motivator..
It doesn't matter, anyways..in the NBA, if you have connections, you'll receive an abundance of coaching attempts, they constantly recycle ex-players that are ty coaches..
Kidd was the on-court coach when he was a player but it appears to me that the Nets (bulging with sophisticated veterans and bad boys) are not the right team for him to start with. Maybe he should've chosen a young rebuilding team imho
always found him overrated as a player
could care less if he avg a triple double when it doesnt translate to wins, no need to boast about his stats
remember rebounding is not a pre-req for a PG skillset, it is only a bonus...its not like his going into the key and boxing out pfs/centers for his reboundings
I still have faith the Nyets will right the ship and have a decent season. I still believe they will be in the top 4 in the weak East. not saying much but with the right roll of teh dice they still could make the East Finals.
People overestimate his value on that 2011 championship. Carlisle coached circles around Spoelstra.
The Nets needed a people-manager more than anything else. Even if Kidd is good at Xs and O's, I've never heard of him being adept at balancing egos. He wasn't the right coach for Brooklyn. He needs time to learn the psychological part of being a coach. That usually comes from time on the bench as an assistant if it's not god-given.
I don't think it's too early for him to become an NBA coach, but he would have been a better fit for a tanking/rebuilding franchise like Boston or Phoenix. No pressure to win, can try different things/change around the system as you like, if you suck, the fans won't really care as they'll look forward to the draft, etc.
Kidd has the IQ to be a coach, but he should have started out on a smaller stage.
I think PJ Carlesimo would have been a better fit for the group of guys Kidd is currently coaching. Why was Carlesimo fired anyway?
That Prokorovch dude spent millions under the table he could sign a good coach not a newbie
Let's be real now, just because Kidd isn't having immediate success doesn't make PJ a good coach.... that moron thought Durant was a shooting guard![]()
No. There are a lot of ty coaches in the NBA. Kidd can't be any worse than most of them.
Spree called the owner and said PJ choked under pressure.
Bend down and grab ur ankles got.
Agreed. Look at Shaw. People raved about him and his team looks awful. What's funny is the only one that seems to maximize what he has is Mark Jackson and I thought he would be the worst.
About to drop another game against the LOLCats
I'm actually enjoying this for no reason.
Ok, I'll be honest. There is a reason. I don't like Deron Williams.
