Grant Hill with Orlando is probably up there, tbh..
Arenas for the injuries + suspension..
With Rose hurt once again, it made me wonder: What is the most amount of money earned by a player in unplayed games. This would include early retirement. What is your best guess?
Grant Hill with Orlando is probably up there, tbh..
Arenas for the injuries + suspension..
Per game would probably be Kobe. Per season, Gilbert Arenas most likely. Even then, it could end up being Kobe. Guys with rookie contracts aren't even close, I wouldn't think. Maybe TMac.
How about Nash? He looked broken all the time, even in Phoenix...
09-11 Yao ain't too far behind either
Arenas is still getting paid due to him being amnestied. He's getting over $22 million this year![]()
It has to be Mr.Arenas...he is still being paid for that 6 year $111 million contract he signed...
I heard he'll be getting payments from that contract until 2016
my AZ is someone who really loves this game regardless of pay. He still gets paid from his $111 million contract up to this day, so he doesn't really need to look to play in a minor league (like chinese league) just to stay in form and to keep alive his hope of coming back to the NBA games. But loves this game just as much as his life so he strives to stay in the game, playing in lower-level leagues for salaries that are nothing compared to how much the 111m contract pays him each year. is a true fighter imho
Allan Houston?
And the media went on and on about the 250K fine the Spurs got last season. Teams can afford to pay a guy tens of millions for not playing, 250K is like a team dinner.
Andrew Bynum was played millions for just being 7 foot
Rashard Lewis has to be up there, signed a 6-year, $118 mil contract in 07, fell off in 09.
But Rashard still played through the seasons after 09, as nothing more than a role player though.
1. Amare after his fight with the extinguisher.
2. Yao actually stole money from the Chinese more than Houston. Dude got so many investors & sponsors for the Rockets.
3. Gilbert Arenas punked DC big time. Will go down as the King.
Rashard and Hibachi should be fighting for 1st and 2nd here.
Amare's still playing albeit sucking.
Lewis and Arenas ripped off their teams with 6-year, $120 million contracts.
But he missed a ton of games and he was only an all-star 1 out of the 6 years he was paid the max.
Rose signed a 5-year, 94 mil exenstion at the beginning of the lock out, missed 27 games the first season, missed the entire 2012-13 season, and will be out for most if not the remaining of this season.
Then we have Eric Gordon, Hornets signed him to a max deal(RFA) despite him wanting to leave(he signed the Suns offer sheet, Hornets actually matched), missed 40 games last season, and in the games he has played so far, he's an average starting SG at best.
You guys listing rookies are forgetting about rookie salary. It doesn't matter if he's a 1st overall or not, he's not a max contract player. Also, it's not like someone's being duped. They have, on staff, team physicians who make assessments of these players' injuries and recovery odds. It's no different than a company that buys out a smaller one then fires its employees before shutting the doors and selling for basically nothing.
