Brees has consistently gained ground on Manning over the last 6 weeks. now they are nearly even.
If they pull out the big win on the road against Seattle then I'm willing to bet he takes home the MVP award. The media already robbed him once back in 09-10 and gave the award to Manning (who had weaker stats) so I can't see them doing that again. Especially after this epic choke job by Manning.

the bottom line is that Manning started the season so incredible during the first 4-5 games or so. Brees has been consistently creeping up on him over the last 6-7 games and now they are nearly even.
Brees has gotten better, Manning has declined.

when you say that someone should be "bumped" from a list that means they should be bumped off. if you meant that he should be boosted ahead then you should have said "Brees should be boosted or pushed ahead" ... not "Brees should be bumped".

Sean Payton deserves COTY over Brees getting MVP imo. That being said, Brees is clearly in the conversation.
