You keep saying that about the Spurs - the difference is the Spurs competed for a le. They were there and should have won. You can't guarantee a le, but you can do things to give yourself the best shot. Spurs did that. Lakers aren't even trying.
For a player in his mid 30's that TORE his Achilles...
Unbelievable.
Oh it's Kobe, he will recover fully... A pig flew.

spurfan complaining about Manu's 2 year contract
Mitch had no choice. Kobe runs that franchise. After whiffing so publicly on Dwight (and it was humiliating to watch a storied franchise beg and crawl) on the shoulders of getting swept and Kobe hurt, they had to ensure at all costs that Kobe stayed.
They didn't have a Duncan they were dealing with they had Kobe. Kobe had leverage and he squeezed the out of them. TBH, I think they got lucky that Kobe didn't make them offer the full max.
No one IMO. They may elect to wait an extra year. If Lebron isn't on the table realistically than 2015 has a better FA class. But maybe Dirk?
I just hope Kirby had the common courtesy to wash up before he went in raw on Mitch/Fredo tbh.
He didn't even finish though..
Wow, Fredo is paying $33 million to his completely broken down and finished backcourt next season.![]()
What LA should do IMO is offer up their first round pick to unload Nash for an expiring contract. That would clear ~9M in additional cap space for Nash and another ~1M in cap space by losing that pick. That's if they could find a team dumb enough to pay 9M for a late first rounder.
Just chill out my ...word on the street is Laker Brass got word from the LA-illuminati that Kobe stays and gets paid there will be financial incentives paid out to the Buss family beyond that 20 yr 25 billion dollar Cable deal....Spur fan just sit back and get ready to start crying all over again when Buss and Mitch pull off the impossible![]()
and why is Spur fan so gotdam worried bout what were doing anyway... ing closet Kobe lovers
Caprisun is right. They have the potential to pair guys like Kobe/Pau/Dwight/Nash together and if they can do that, they would be favorites..
DPG, Yes the Spurs competed for a le, and in some ways that is what the Lakers are trying to hope for a "magical turn the clock back run". Kobe is still the Lakers best player Duncan is not, it's just different. I think even tim was surprised how he turned back the clock last year. Plus, LAL makes a ton more revenue than SAS and Kobe is a huge part so I get why Kobe did this from a bizz perspective. As a Lakerfan I wish he did not.
Mugen I dont get why they made the move so early ... unless they are planning on making trades at the deadline ...what if Kobe comes out and ruptures the other Achilles a la Drose?
I see no need to re-sign him before he plays ...
that got ass Tammy got his little 20 million or whatever the he got and I could have given 2 s....we got dam near 100 people in this ing thread on my s
Says the guy who spends his life on the Spurs forum![]()
CapriSun_Man's asschecks are tomato red.
How does that help our cap issues, Kool?
Phoenix has to love this, since they get Fredo's 2015 first rounder.
Per Shelburne's tweet, it was a sign of "good faith" towards Kobe which makes no sense at all tbh
We've already sat aside tax and repeater tax fees...it's all about value for buck now...even if we ditch Pau for Rondo now we will still get Melo....if we let Pau walk we resign him for 5-6 mill a year...we pick up Ariza and keep paying this core we have peanuts....there are no real big name free agents switching teams within the next two years besides Melo and Rondo and those are the guys we're going to target..
Buddy even turning on Caprisun Man![]()
I feel really bad for the response you are going to get, Buddy. You will realize just how little your main man knows about basketball.
Caprisun_Man not understanding the difference between the Lakers' revenue and the NBA salary cap![]()
You very likely can't get Rondo and still sign Melo![]()
