    After last year's DEBACLE, the last thing Mitch wanted was for the Lakers org to get into a spat with Kobe over money.

    Keep Kobe and keep Kobe happy. Laker fans need SOMETHING after the Dwightmare.

    They just showed a lot of loyalty to a guy who asked to be traded when the going got tough.
