I can get one for 400 bucks and am wondering how easily it's flippable for 700.

if your contract runs out apple will unlock it for you. I don't think there is a working jb for ios7 on the new models yet, and i hear it may still be a ways off.
i think target will give a $100 gc with ipad air purchase, but best buy may have them $50 off

I have no idea, tbh... I had my older iPhones unlocked by AT&T once the 2 years were up without a problem.
I've also seen some shady sim cards on ebay a while ago, but no clue if they work or not...

They'll unlock it for you after the two years of the contract are up...

AFAIK, there's no software baseband hack right now, so be careful it's not a scam.. you could use those chinese SIM piggyback boards, but then it would be messy.

there is still a good market for these i regularly flip phones on ebay most of them go overseas. can have bad esn and still work over there.
