Epic reaction from the LG members. First few responses are before the amount of Kobe's new contract is announced. Then, once Ramona Shelbourne confirms the amount he'll make, hilarity ensues. And yes, I was in bored and high as when I made this

Kobe would never sign for the minimum. He probably agreed to about 12-14 mil.

Yes, he deserved it. He worked his butt off and deserved to retire a Laker. Still, very interested to know how much Lakers are on the books for.

Even at 15 that is cool but anything OVER that makes little sense especially when we could have signed him LAST, after making other moves.

I'm working on it. It won't be in the system until at least tomorrow (and maybe later). I have to find out anecdotally.

2-year deal, so that means the all time scoring record is pretty much out of reach. He would need around 30 or even more ppg till the end. Probably not happening.

People need to calm down, there is always a reason for giving someone max dollars... it means that the certain player is still good enough to play at a superstar level... the Lakers would have never given Kobe this load of money without some sort of insurance.

People are acting like were hating on Kobe. Were not. The fact is with Kobe taking most of the cap. Jim Buss killed this teams future. If 15 million was good for Lebron. It should have been good for Kobe. Instead he ensured the team wont be wining for a while.

I think its pretty obvious Kobe is a asshole, whether you are a Kobe Stan, Laker fan or both. I freely admit he is an asshole with iffy shot selection. Still a great player.

God I hope Kirby comes back, sucks and a portion of his cult turns on him. Would be a fitting end to the career of the most selfish and overrated player of all-time tbh.
