They need one of these.
this thread was on fire long before that arena!
They need one of these.
Situations like these make me wish RJ was still on the team for "flamer" jokes tbh.
Welp, see you Saturday guys.
They are finally reporting it on nbatv now.![]()
Yeah that's way too much smoke, would be really surprised if it doesn't get cancelled.
The spurs fan in me is mad because we lose an extra home game in turn, but this game was complete bull for the wolves from the jump
Oh well, wasn't gonna be able to make the game anyway
If they do reschedule, would they stay in Mexico and try again say tomorrow? Spurs are off till Sat against IND
Start Bonner. Let Duncan remain in the ventilated locker room
F Stern!!!

NBA official says D Stern really wants to play this game. Next update at 830 pm

Man I was waiting for someone to remember that opening night when the fire extinguishers hosed down everyone in the place. This is not really all that different, tbh. So San Antonians can't really laugh too hard... but we will!
Heard Tony had to be taken to the hospital with moderate smoke inhalation...
Stern literally trying to kill the Spurs before he leaves and willing to sacrifice 20,000 mexicans and Kevin Love to do it tbh.
I started to wonder about when they might reschedule if this gets cancelled. Just looking quickly at the schedules, it might actually make some sense to move this game to Minnesota on Sunday night (this is, technically, a T'Wolves home game). The T'Wolves play a home game against Miami on Saturday and then are off until the following Tuesday and the Spurs have a similar break after the Indiana game on Saturday night. At a quick glance, it's hard to find another window like that one in the schedule without forcing one of these teams to play a back-to-back-to-back.
With that said, I doubt that the turn around for a rescheduled game would be that quick.
can't blame him for wanting game to happen, a lot went into this. i think he underestimated what a hole Mexico is.
It's a pretty big risk, smoke like that will take days to clear out, even if you can't see it it'll still linger. It can not only cause the players harm, but the fans as well.
are you serious?
Jeff McDonald @JMcDonald_SAEN
Jeez. Tony Parker heading back into building for some reason. Has to use shirt as gas mask.
No, butif it ends up being true. What a ing disaster this would be for the NBA.
Stern really wants this for the league, i bet it goes down tomorrow night, why can't both teams stay at hotels another night? neither play again till SAT
Win lose situation, we lose out on a Spurs game, however we do get to piss off that Stern.
Yeah looks like Friday or Sunday would be the only days. Not diggin' the Spurs playing Indy and Minny on a b2b plus another 4 games in 5 nights stretch tbh.
netw3rk @netw3rk
"Well, do you see actual flames?" "But, Commissioner, the smoke is probably toxic.." "I'll take that as a no then."
No way that's real. Wow
Stern's probably telling the players to form a circle and start flapping their arms to ventilate the arena.
