having legit receiving weapons is something all young qb's ask for. look at ryan and luck when their star receivers went down
dude is like aaron rodgers, gonna monkeyball early in his career but we all know hes a pocket passer, his inner native casino american instincts knows not to gamble his body through unwarranted hitsand ride out the best scenario any qb can ask, a great defense and a really good running game.

i didnt say all qb's will succeed with good wr's, but most of the time its a requisite.
otherwise jawalrus would have the excuse of having ty receivers

Dumbass skins fans lobbying for us to take him at 8 a few years back and going emo when we passed on his soft ass
Way back in the day we'd see Fran Tarkenton run all over the place, by now somebody would get open. When he retired he lead the NFL in every QB stat.
Anyway...
There are more black QB's in high school/NCAA than ever before, what's that mean, yep.....the NFL is heading in that direction. The days of the pocket passer are coming to an end, defenders are just too mobile/hostile to not have an athlete back there to deal with them. Guys who can't break 4.9 are being weeded out.
We could see two black QB's play for the National Championship and one in the Superbowl. That coming after a season where the first two QB draft picls were black.
its not necessarily a matter of race. its that these one-read then take off and run qb's by in large aren't successful NFL qb's. tarkenton would scramble, reverse field, scramble more, and throw. he never even ran for 400 yards in a season. steve young wasn't effective until he became a prolific passer who could stay in the pocket and make reads. the read-option qb's like kaepernick are not going to have long term nfl success. heck, the only reason why some think wilson has a chance is because he shows promise as a passer who go through progressions before deciding to tuck it and run.
you can have a million dual threat qb's, but if the quarterback believes running the ball is as viable an option as throwing it, he won't have sustained success.
steve mcnair became elite when he became an effective passer. air mcnair they called him. mcnabb seemed to make it a point not to run at times, although he was ridiculously athletic. to be honest, he probably should have used his feet more, because his pocket accuracy was inconsistent. a lot of his throws would end up as one-hoppers to his receivers, though he did have a good deep ball. daunte culpepper could run, though he made his money using his cannon arm and deep ball. he was like a more athletic cam
Randall Cunningham had 6 seasons in a row where he rushed for over 500 yards and scored 28 tds with his legs. He was hard to defend because of that running ability. He's really what the NFL wants, an athlete at QB, it drives defenses crazy. These ..."I can't run and know it" types don't present the same danger to a defense, you know they aren't going anywhere.
I'm just going to go ahead and say it.......Russell Wilson is smarter than the average black QB.... that's what seperates him. Not unlike Muhammad Ali in boxing. That's why Warren Moon is the best of the black QB's.....he was intelligent.
how did cunningham do in the big games?
Is there some point there? So a QB who can run doesn't present a huge problem for any defense?
he did much better in minnesota when he lost a step and became more of a pocket passer.
of course there is
You might wanna check his stats.
No silly games little fella...ok?
i wasn't aware i was playing little games. i simply asked how cunningham fared in big games
career high in tds, 15-1 with minnesota little man.
He had one good year as a Viking, as an Eagle he had 4 seasons with over 20 tds, and 3400 yards passing.
You were right, 403'd already![]()
its like vietnam all over againthe jungle has won

He was probably the best QB the Ravens had before Flacco. Had they left him in over Grbac in 01, Baltimore may have repeated.
In general, I don't know why Black America isn't the biggest opponent of monkeyball. Not only is it perpetuating stereotypes of lower intelligence, but it's also getting them injured.
