pacers were very motivated last night to beat spurs pj said they talked how they never beat the spurs there ever
spurs bench players got out of shape with the 4 day break and looked lost
    boris really looked bad
splitter being held to just 8 minutes really hurt spurs against pacers
pacers though I think could really have a good shot at a le

I still like this team. spurs have to have splitter and boris playing at high level
green right now is not right. he has no confidence. he should be replaced in starting lineup. have his confidence go up playing well against the second units team. let manu set him up shots. starters are always better players oh and another player is on fire from downtown reward him and start his ass

The Spurs get brickbats, and other teams are excused, per par.

Spurs lost because they hadn't played a game in about a week. Simple as that. They looked tire and rusty out there. And yes, the Pacers played their best the other night. And they had nothing left to even attempt to beat OKC.

The Spurs got a ty schedule this year where they play 18 B2B but they have some weeks where they only play like 2 games. Last week was one of those and the Minny game got canceled.

When the will we begin holding our starters responsible for our losses? Especially when guys like Parker continue to sag off of their man on defense, thus giving them wide open shots. Whenever we lose, it's always "the bench played crap" or "It's Spitter's fault (because he's every Spurs' fan's favorite punching bag)". It's time to start holding our starters accountable (not just Splitter and the bench).

    Called it.

To be fair though, thanks to NBA and Stern: OKC had been off since Thursday while Indiana was on the back end of a back-to-back.

OKC always has this soft ass schedule before easy games. 5 days off before Spurs game, now since Thursday, playing a team that plays b2b.
And they say Spurs have easy schedule.... my ass.

Yes there was an emotional let down for the Pacers after they had been up so high for the game against the spurs.

That is going to happen all year, guys, and we might as well get used to it.

Every night the teams the Spurs play will play balls-to-the-wall to beat us. We won't because we never have. So I doubt that our final tally this year will be as good (in terms of wins-losss) as it was last year.

If we don't have all five starters playing all out in the playoffs, we will lose quickly. I like the regular season, so I'm happy enough to win all of these that they can and let the playoffs fall where they may. But I know that a lot of you guys only want the playoff wins. Me? I just loved last year. Absolutely loved it. Never been prouder of a team in my life (and that includes this year's Auburn team). The Spurs were America's team last year. We didn't make it all the way, but the nation was with us. It was a great effort and a better result than anyone here predicted at the beginning of the season.

This year will take care of itself.

well OKC don't have a stubborn old as a coach

Popovich threw the game in the 2nd quarter when he combined Ayres, Green and Mills

The Spurs were outscored in the 3rd 35-17. They were beaten by the better team. And yes, you got a firsthand look of what the bench will look like in the playoffs against elite compe ion.

Great post. This makes me remember how awesome it was to be able to watch so much Spurs ball last year. And everyone was rooting for us to beat The LeBrons last year. We were a true underdog story and almost pulled off an incredible upset.

Two more years of fun, then the Spurs become fodder.
