I still think Aggy made a good move going to the SEC. Its a big reason for their current recruiting and the exposure will benefit them short term and long-term. Not sure how much more money they will get, but it was a good move for both parties.
when someone starts crying "arrogance!", thats when you know that they know their team is unquestionably inferior

I agree in part and disagree it part. I think it was a great move for A&M. I think Texas has taken a hit with recruiting because of the move. I don't think it was good for Texas in that regard. I agree with Kermit that Texas will always make more money than A&M and UT will always own this state.
I don't know that Duke is a major draw for interest.
Mind you, watching the Ducks hang 70 on UT will be painful to watch.
Both parties in Aggy and the SEC. Great move for the SEC to get Aggy and a good move for Aggy as well. I agree that it hurts UT, but they will be fine. I think it will hurt the other Texas schools more if the rest of the SEC recruits heavily in that state. But it hasn't affected Baylor, Okie State or even OU at this time so we will see.
At least Texas' arrogance is earned.... Aggy thumps their chest over being slightly above average, tbh....
It will be goddamn hilarious if Saban comes and takes all the recruits. It could only happen to Aggy.
It will be cathartic. Especially if they trot Mack out there.
it's only arrogant when UTfan brags about money
Where there's smoke, there's fire.
Both our teams sucked this year - but UT doesn't even own the state this year.
Unless UT turns things around with this next coaching hire (and at best, they're probably looking at a rough stretch for a couple years with Mack's last recruiting classes), in 5 years it will be even more lopsided in our favor.
Yeah it will always be owned by UT. Manziel only made A&M relevant for about 1 and a half years.
Two of your games had 130,000 viewers this year....
sick burn!
Still trying to compete with UT eh?
Duke isnt in the SEC...
Who is Kermit comparing UT with?
Who answers polls?
OU is struggling to recruit. Our move hurts them more than Texas IMO.
It's pretty hard to watch a game on channels either no one gets, or no one knows they have. Also , did you see Texas this year? I'm surprised anyone watched that show. Why the would anyone subject themselves to three hours of deeeeerrrrrrrppppppppppp? Pretty nice to get all that TV money though.
I bet it increased the sports bar patronage in the state.
Economic stimulus!
Now that it's available on TWC, ratings are more applicable. I still think it will become a conference network. If they are able to raid other conferences for some decent demographics, it could all work out.
A few years ago I'm sure if someone told you A&M would be more popular than UT you would have said it'll never happen. Texas isn't owned by UT right now. UT wasn't always the brand that it became - and it isn't even what it was a few years ago.
Those games were on the network that Aggy threw a fit about and left the Big 12 over, tbh.....
I guess in a roundabout way Tech can thank A&M and Manziel's success for Kingsbury.
No telling who we'd have right now if aggy sucked it up bad last year.
