It doesn't buffer well anymore either, at least at my regular TWC speed. I just end up ripping long videos and watching them on mpc.
Has gotten that much worse.
Apparently starting on Monday, youtube will start deleting vids/channels that have copyrighted material.
Basically videos that aren't made by you exclusively will get the axed.
This ing sucks. Google has completely destroy youtube.
I often use it to watch gameplay of videos games and such. Those will no longer be apparently.
First you cant comment on videos because you need a re ed Google+ account and now they're inacting this stupid .

The funny thing is that the companies who's copyrighted material are being used have nothing to do with this latest BS.

Pretty odd if you ask me. Who doesn't like free advertisemnets? That is what these guys stand to lose when you take videos of people reviewing whatever products.

It doesn't matter. There needs to be a voting system. If a video gets x number of votes, it stays another week. If it doesn't get any, it only stays one week.
Saw this day coming the moment google bought YouTube. Took longer than I thought it would.

That vote system only opens the door for shills and haters. You idiots were warned about YouTube since 2008 that is plenty of time for some offshore computer guru to create MyTube (my original idea) and turn YouTube into MySpace a thing of the past.

Apparently, they have software routines that compare content. Mine was flagged for the song in the background at 4:13. They gave me a box to explain why I disagreed. I simply said something to the effect it was my recording of the Gran Turismo game I purchased, and the song was in the game.
I guess we will see if this one gets deleted...

Well there goes me watching youtube. like Shadowflames said, RIP youtube. I only use it to listen to music or some classic . some of the music I already own, i just don't feel like putting on a vinyl or ripping a CD.
Most of the user content is so bad, like facebook, I don't give a about your kid's birthday party where a black stripper jumps out of the cake and whips your son in the face.
it's all aimed at censoring the internet. this will be their excuse every time they censor anything politically sensitive. they'll use this to suppress the flow of information.
Close some of those gay porn screens and that should help.
i want them to get rid of the wannabe singers who do cover songs....do those clowns even pay back the money to the original singers for doing their covers? cause google does pay these amateurs to advertise of their accounts

There are valid legal concerns that need addressed.
You can find entire movies available, that are also for sell on DVD. Entire songs in high quality audio that the artists are getting royalties for. YouTube can end up being sued or shut down if they don't take proactive efforts to attempt to stop such things.
Some gaming companies have already come forward supporting youtube users telling them that they will fight this and so on.

This is all Google just starting where there is nothing to be gained outside of their ultimate demise.
That article mentions some videos are being flagged because Youtube has enabled something called "Content ID Scanning" and that's why thousands of people are getting all these warnings.
I hope this gets resolve soon because it certainly screws millions of users.
and thepirate bay has been blocked, to make things worse.

They give the option to either delete the content yourself, or explain why you feel you can use it. Mine's still there, and I don't expect it's going to disappear.
I think too many people get worked up over nothing.
And I suppose they didn't facilitate any illegal activity...

They want to delete gameplay or whatever they deem infrigement.
I could understand posting songs that are not yours and whatever but if you buy something then that becomes yours and you can do whatever you want with that content. You should be able to share it. Its sensorship my friend.
Can you show me an example where individual work without copyright infringement has been deleted?
It hasn't been blocked, the domain changed with servers being based out of some volcanic island in the pacific. They will be moving permanently to servers in Peru soon.
