i'm fine with this, but don't kick the man while he's down. every man has pride and if i was in his shoes, i wouldn't quit either if i'm getting paid 5mil a year. if anyone is to be blamed it should have been the AD who kept him around even when the program wasn't performing to the schools standards.

but hey, i went to a school that at one point lost 80 straight football games and is pretty ty period, so i can appreciate a good coach like mack. regardless of how he ended.

i can't fault him for cutting any deals if the other party is willing to pony up. they sat back and let it get to this point and mack's cashing out. i don't think there is anything wrong with him trying to cash out on a few million before he decides to call it quits. like i said above, the ad and rich alumni made mack this way. he got comfortable on their dime and they let it happen.
