As a fan, I wanted that win the most. I hated the Celtics team and how they were beating the 2008 Lakers unfairly. That was a very sweet victory considering Gasol stepped up and Artest, who I always loved even before joining the Lakers made the biggest shot of his career.
I'm still having goose bumps every time I watch the whole game.
I agree the 2008 was gifted to the celtics. The lakers didn't even have 20ftas in the 4 quarter of elimination games like try usually do

Keep telling yourself that. The Heat were the better team, they had the better record, had stacked talent out the wazoo... but you had the stacked talent in the 4 HOFers and a HOF coach and you were playing a group of glorified role players who didn't hog the ball and who played defense.
Your team lost because your hero deemed it so. You could've had that one, it was there. All you had to do was get the ball to the big black crosseyed guy in the paint and run back on defense, but no. You had to go hero and give it away. That's going to be his legacy, you do know that.
The mismatch was just pretty bad. Radmanovic had no business starting for a championship team. Bynum was out, Ariza played in limited minutes and Fisher and Vujacic were forced to guard Ray Allen which was trouble.

We got beat because Perkins and his buddy (I forget his name, he blew out his knee the next season) beat us half to death and took Gasol's manhood. The same thing would've have happened to Gasol in '09 except Howard had no manhood himself. And it would've happened in '10 except Perkins fell down and we were saved. Then in '11 Cuban got the book on Gasol and Chandler and Dirk retook Gasol's manhood.
Nah, I don't have to tell myself that.It's a worldwide known fact the Pistons, outworked, out hustled, out played the Lakers as a team. This is quite similar to to the 94 Rockets who beat the Magic. Shaq had a great series but it wasn't enough at the end.
