^ CD speaking the truth. Hitler was an awesome politician but his knowledge of military was mediocre. If he had stuck to his role as a politician and left the military works to those military geniuses (like Manstein, Guderian, Von Bock etc...) the Reich would've probably won the war by the end of 1942 tbh. The failures at Stalingrad, Moscow and Leningrad already set the tone of the war and Germany was irreversibly on their way to the losing end from then on, which wouldn't have been changed even if their scientists had beat American scientists in the invention of nuclear bombs tbh.

Seriously, the really amazing Nazi warplane was the Messerschmitt Me 262. They never did roll out the swept-wing version, but the swept-wing Me 262 designs we got a hold of became the foundation for our postwar Air Force fighter jets. Of course the Me 262s weren't enough to save the Reich since all their best pilots were long since dead by the time the thing was rolled out. Still my favorite plane ever.

Hitler lost his massive air force because the allies developed RADAR technology, and knew were to intercept at. The three Hortons made were an attempt to reduce the effect of RADAR, and the estimates I read show that it would have reduced detection and readiness time of the English intercepting them by 2-1/2 minutes. This could have made difference if Hitler had enough of them.
