The last time the Lakers went to Oakland they got destroyed even worse with Beta Gasol playing. There's nothing that Beta Gasol could've done.

big markets don't quite care about wins, they just want big names to show off their talents and guys like Kobe and Melo are perfect pieces for that purpose. Lakers 10 and 09 les are just like bonuses next to their financial success (which's their primary goal)
