What are you complaining about?,,,he called off the dogs after 6 like it never happened. Chirst, Bosh got beaten half to death after they'd won just because they'd set him up so badly because they were sure you were gonna take it. When that didn't happen you not only got bypassed but Media took off after Bosh for making 'em needlessly worry.

BS. Do you think you didn't have to suffer after the calamity of last June because you didn't richly deserve it? No. Stern made the call and it was an easy dictate to make. Anybody else and you'd a been fawned upon, but, not topping Miami. The NBA needed Miami to win that. You've had your day(s) in the sun. They'd started setting up Bosh before Game 6 just in case it went south they did not want to waste James and Bosh was the most attractive and easy target. Once it was over Media still insisted on sniping at him from the knoll...to make it look good and to get back at him for causing them such anguish.

You win that Media gets no bites at the apple because they don't want you to win and they will not cast Miami down at loss. Miami wins they get one giant bite at the apple and you're safe. They don't need that second bite especially on a swell guy like you are.

Culburn/Thread often has good basketball takes, but this business about Stern doing reputation management or something after "6" is without merit.

He called the Media dogs off. Stern did not want the Spurs/Pop disturbed. Christ, it was like the Heat won the damn thing by pulling a number out of a hat. That didn't happen by accident. Lauding the Heat was all Stern wanted and he got that. Crucifying the Spurs wasn't part of that bargain.

I recognize it. It's how things are now. Nobody has to suffer for their failures, just be commended for their victories. I just wish I could see some suffering like we suffered before the policy got changed mid-stream.
