Lakers competed sans Kobe per par
At least we didn't win it...just to have the NBA stewards come and tell us to give it back like last June. It's okay, D-, it counts.

It's funny how Lebron needs the greatest 3PT shooter of all-time to bail him out at the brink of being eliminated from the Finals...

The Heat are a great team, no doubt. I still think the 2011 Mavs would have beaten the 2012-13 Heat team. You shut down Lebron, you shut down Miami as a whole.

I still can't believe he backed up into that little slot.

And he in' swished it, it was beautiful, yet it crushed my soul at the same time. Thank god I had vodka at my disposal.

The 2011 Mavs didn't have a Lebron stopper or anything...Kawhi is probably better 1 on 1 than ing Shawn Marrion. The Spurs' D against Lebron had the same idea behind it that the Mavs' zone did. Make Lebron take jumpers. Lebron just won that one. Didn't help that the 2011 Heat's players outside of their big 3 were ass. Mike Bibby w/ the lowest PER in playoff history for a starter. Joel Anthony. Haslem "the savior" returning after being hurt all season.

The Heat FO showing why they're elite by picking up battier/allen. Actually fixing the deficiencies in their team.

Their defense was predicated on giving Lebron different looks on offense every time and they zoned the out of them, Lebron actually did the right thing most of the time, their shooters weren't as good, but it was a relatively easy series for Dallas. Wade also beasted in that series and was en route to a 2nd Finals MVP before that 4th quarter collapse in Game 3 or 4.

I could not have went thru that. Not at 60. At 40, yes, but, not now.

I can't imagine it. I don't even want to. I thought '84 was bad. To have it taken away is beyond anything I want to experience. I felt it just a little toward the end in '10. Just a couple moments like that loose ball up the sideline. That had disaster written on it, but, it went for us instead of against us.

It's just that feeling when it's safe and it's finally over.

And how do you beat a zone? Shooting. What didn't Lebron do? Shoot. What couldn't his teammates do? Shoot.

Same idea, different way of doing it.

It was an easy series for the Mavs because of Terry. He was the Danny Green of that series tbh. Would be saying the same thing if the 2013 finals ended in 6 for the Spurs.

Green shat the bed after the first 5 games. He had one of the worst Finals games of all-time as far as shooting % goes, wasn't he like 1-11 or 1-12 in Game 6 or 7?

The 1-12 game was 7, but I think he gets a pass after averaging 18ppg the first 5. At least somewhat. If the series had ended with a Ray Allen miss, everyone remembers' Duncan's monster game and Danny Green's monster series. Can't expect your scrubs to win you series anyway.

The game was decided by a few possessions, he didn't show up when we needed him to. Same thing with Parker(though he did get injured and he did hit a big 3 in Game 6).

Overall, our team checked out in the clutch and we started taking bad shots/committing stupid turnovers.

But as far as stopping Miami goes, we played the right defense. We dared Lebron to shoot, we gave them wide open threes, gave them 2-3 ft of space on long 2s and it ing worked, we just couldn't execute when it mattered the most. We couldn't knock down the free throws, we couldn't rebound the ball when we needed to.

Danny Green's a loser and I've been saying it for years. Even during his fluke streak in the Finals I said he would turn tail at the worst possible moment. He can't change what he is.

JET created chances for himself as well as for his teammates, both inside the 3pt line and outside, while only thing Green did right in the 13' finals was knock down threes and all.

Spurs already achieved when the knocked out Memphis, since their fans original expectation was WCF exit. The series against Miami was one that was supposed to be lost in the first place, yet the spurs managed to drag it to 7 games thanks to Pop's wisdom, but you could never count on role players to win you the championship when 2.5 of your 3 key players underperformed imho
