co-sign. don't rock the boat, pop
His defense is missed in the first unit. It's not like he's scoring more off the bench. Plus, Manu is having to do everything, and it's not going to cut it. Yes I know it's just the RS, I'm not over reacting. Danny is best suited in the starting lineup!!!

I also wonder why Danny is now coming off the bench and Belli is starting. Belli has been doing great when he's coming off the bench..
If Danny started tonight, there's no 40 point quarter!! Don't give a what anyone else thinks!
It makes a lot more sense to stick with your defensive lineup, even with how bad they have been offensively, tbh..
IMO, I'd start Diaw and Green, put Tiago back on the bench to play with Manu..
I can already see the manu splitter pick n role now. Strong pick by splitter allows Manu to drive to the basket, they help on manu and he passes to splitter for the flush
And Splitter gets blocked per par
Yeah at this point, Diaws post game is much more efficient. I'd much rather Pop experiment with Diaw then shake up the 2 position.
Damned straight. Splitter was awesome off the bench a couple of years ago. The question is who starts. Diaw is the top choice, but Ayres has been playing well recently. Or maybe the Spurs make the move for a starting four.
Pop, can we please try Thomas out at least once this season?
-Concerned fan
True but Splitter would be one expensive bench player
Danny on Ellis tonight! If I remember correctly, one of the first games Danny broke out was when he was put on Ellis when he was still with Golden State.
Rotation should be:
Parker/Mills
Green/Belli
Leonard/Manu
Diaw/Bonner
Duncan/Splitter/Baynes
Funny that I thought Bellineli played better in the second unit. But the first unit needs a consistent three point shooter, and Green has been inconsistent and has made some poor decisions on offense to counter being chased off the three point line.
im sure Pop seems more worried about opening things up offensively than improving defense.
The thing is, Defense leads to Offense. If our defense is up to par, our offense will come. Really its our Defense that worries me; not the offense.
If there's a time to mess with lineups it's now. As great as it is to see Gino-Beli, Danny as the backup SF is a much more defensively sound unit...especially against bigger SFs.
danny is playing pretty well off the bench paired with manu tbh
Props to Green. Played great off the bench. Marco looks out of whack in the starting lineup.
Danny needs to get his ass out of dodge.
Pop keeps pushing him down the rotation, and the team keeps getting worse for it.
Pop rewards offense over defense... Danny not hitting shots, means he won't be in favor.
It's not that. Pop wants a play maker to help Parker. But if he changed his system to get Leonard and Green better looks, that would help Parker even more. Beli's ball handling is wasted in the starting unit.
What a terrible experiment this is pop is to damn stubborn.
