Once again Matt Barnes is quick to run and go shove someone. This guy is so overdue for a punch in the face.
& if Paul would just put the whole thing out there on the floor, trust in it, serve the result and go on to the next contest, then the next and so on, but, no, he never finds his depth. He pulls up short and starts with the tried & true combo of flopping & officiating baiting.

He wasn't such a loser to you when he was traded to LA, you wept after the trade was vetoed
You had the best PG in the league and they made you give him back.
My record on this is in the stacks. Paul is a loser. We'd just reformed a career loser (Odom) and reaped the awards of that reformation, only to turn him out into the streets. I never understood it then and still don't. Paul's behavior since has only confirmed my indictment of him then & now.

But he would have kept your team relevant, and he would have had a "winner" in Kirby to lead the way. I think you'd rather have the "loser" as your starting PG than Jordan Farmar. Dwight trade would probably have still happened and you might have been looking at a top 3 team in the West for the next 3-4 years. Instead, you fall off the rails and pay Kirby 24 mil a year after he tears his achilles.
Paul will never change, he's an ins utional man now, like "Red."
I'd rather a held onto Odom and tried twice more before the CBA changed. Christ, we'd painstakingly tore Odom down and built him from the ground up into a true champion only to piss it away like none of that mattered. It's so gross.

I was drinking and watching the game, didn't bother posting after the 3rd quarter.
What's this about Paul never changing? He's the best PG since Zeke and he's carried medicore teams to the playoffs all of his career, it's just that no team ever goes deep in the playoffs & wins it all with a midget PG being their best scorer and overall player, you need a Center like Duncan(defensive anchor, productive scorer on the offensive end) or a scorer like Durant.
Lakers would have had both, you have a top 5 scorer in Kobe and a defensive anchor like Dwight to lob it to? They would be in the Finals almost every year.
But they made you give him back. You traded your flexibility for a Steve Nash, and you lost the trade exception you had from the Odom trade and Dwight was not going to stay with Steve Blake being your next best player.
Because they "Media" says it? I ain't their fart catcher, Heel. I'm better than that. A damn sight better.
Paul is a loser. I said it two years ago and he's done nothing to make me mistaken. He's a chicken (like Barkley) and he'll up like Barkley,,,ringless.
But, see Media can't go there. They had to tread very carefully as that trade went down and the aftershocks took form. Odom went to skid row and has never emerged. NYC guaranteed the Buss family that they'd not be taken to task for that (Odom's ruination). The quid pro quo was Paul would be guaranteed to be undisturbed across the hall as he went about holding court:::flopping, playing grab ass & stinky finger with the officiating guys. He's happy as a pig in mud.
Me? I'm still sitting here wondering how in the one can piss away Odom and live not to tell.
So, Chris Paul is not a great player because he can't win a championship with a medicore Clippers squad? Barkley is a loser because he was beaten by Hakeem in the West and Michael in the Finals?
CP3 is a very talented player despite the flopping bs, he is the most skilled point guard in this league, bar none. KD despite the betaness is the best scorer in the league. It's not their fault that there's a Lebron James with a stacked Miami Heat roster in this league. OKC,Clippers,Spurs,Rockets just aren't good enough to beat the Heat, they all lack something that the Heat don't - the best player in the game, who is already cementing himself as a top 10 player, and he's only 28 years of age, Cully.
Championships are a team accomplishment, you need a TEAM to beat the Heatles. The Spurs were the ultimate example of a perfect, well-balanced roster led by one of the greatest coaches ever, and even they managed to lose against Miami some how.
Point is, CP3 is an elite player, who will never have a good enough team to contend for the NBA Championship. He'll have the legacy of a Charles Barkley, but real basketball fans will respect what they brought to the game.

It's all me baby. Anyways, you expect too much out of certain players. Only one team can win it all. I don't see the fun in just looking at the rings. I enjoy the sport itself, Paul is a great basketball player. I look at the accolades when discussing legacies, but the game matters the most to me. Paul is a great point guard, he just doesn't have a supporting cast like Lebron does.
I'm a bitter old man. I was raised on winning the le was the only path to goodness. Anything less and you were beneath contempt. I could do nothing but take it. Of course [they] wanted to change that protocol after '85, but, I'd already turned. We would not go back. We'd all go forward from that day on till I go on into the dust that is always the end. I picked the Suns up as I landed in the deserts, and then picked you guys up when I caught on here. Of course al teams are included, but, you get my drift, you and the Suns are special and I want to see you denied. Your base is aggravating, your organization is as well. The Suns base is different, they're different from you fellows and I respect them. But, their Media and organization is insufferable and I will not stop desiring their ruination.

As much as I hate Paul, and trust me Paul has to be my least favorite player of all time after hitting Hodge in the nuts back in college. But Harden has to be the most made player in the league... period.

But, he made it known upon arrival that he would not be a [go along to get along] type player. I remember he put Kobe on blast early on and Kobe went elsewhere for his bullying quota. Oklahoma made a mistake there. Just because Media let it go doesn't change it.
