I had trouble putting NO in there because barring a loss at Carolina, it will be extremely difficult for them to win three straight road games IMO. I don't think Cincinnati, Indianapolis, or Kansas City are consistent enough to be a threat. Chicago, Dallas/Philly, and Miami/Baltimore/San Diego are all teams that can be on - and off and I think they could do damage.. but ultimately I don't see going all the way.

KC has been regressing and the Panthers have a way better defense... and offense, tbh.

    comparing KC to Carolina

do you really think KC would beat NO, NE and @ SF? Don't kid yourself.

Jamaal Charles alone is better than the Panthers offense

And no KC would not beat any of those teams but neither would the panthers

Carolina's beaten all 3 of them this year...they would get tooled on a neutral field by NE, though.

All you got to do is sack Manning... let me rephrase... all you have to do is make Manning drop down and turtle a few times and it's game over.

Yeah, they would dude...gotta temper your expectations. Give BB a 2nd look at Newton and it's ovah. Not to mention that Brady is the best cold weather QB to ever play the game

It's wide open and I'd be shocked if the chalks (Denver and Seattle) BOTH make the SB. Historically and recently, It just doesn't happen often at all.

It also doesn't matter who is peaking and who is slumping at the end of the regular season, as evidenced by the Saints in 2009 (3 straight losses to end season), Giants in 2011-12, and Ravens last year.

Playoff runs are completely seperate than regular season success.

Yup, 2009 Chargers, 2010 Patriots, and 2012 Broncos know this.

The last 3 years, the home teams are combined 2-4 in the Conference Championship Round.

There has been a total of one #1 seed to reach the SB in the past 3 seasons, and they lost it. I don't think either of the #1 seeds this season strike fear into any of the other teams.

Saints are the only team in the NFL ranked in the top 5 in both offense and defense. They have as good of a chance as anyone else. Playoff football is insane, you know this bro

I can't trust the Saints on the road...if they get the #2 seed maybe they make a run--but I have a feeling they're one-and-done otherwise

Understandable, as they have done nothing on the road to warrant anyone's trust. But from the crazy that has happened in the playoffs over the last 3 seasons, I wouldn't completely rule them out. Any team can get hot for 3 games in the playoffs.

If they won their division no doubt but on the road its just hard to trust the saints at this point

Packers, Giants, and Ravens were cold weather teams though, capable of great play in any venue. Saints will most likely play all their potential playoff games in freezing temperatures with wind and rain/snow a factor.

That being said, they could make a run if they get Dallas and Carolina in the first 2 rounds. Cowboys can't beat the Saints, and Carolina would need to shut Brees down twice in a month. Maybe they get lucky and host SF in the NFCCG after that--Saints won't lose at home in playoffs. I'd bet against them at PHI, GB, CHI, and SEA though.

They would need things to break their way in the seedings for sure. They could beat the Eagles in a shootout in Philly, as their home record over the past 2 years is even worse than the Saints road record, then hopefully would draw Carolina in the divisional round, as they have shown that they can compete there. Then just see how the other side of the bracket plays out and at least have a chance to get to the NFCC. Again, I'm not saying it's likely, I'm just saying that it's not impossible, and we have seen some weird in the playoffs.

They could win at Philly with their young QB and horrible defense, and they also easily beat Chicago this season on the road, albeit nice weather conditions. Obviously Cowboys would be a dream opening round opponent. Yeah I wouldn't like our chances in GB or Seattle, but as you said last week, at least Seattle lost their aura of invincibility at home.
