    1. Rodgers
    2. Brady
    3. Rivers
    4. Brees (originally had him at #3, but can't trust him enough on the road)
    5. Fivehead (and I'm actually being generous here)
    6. Wilson/Luck
    7. Luck/Wilson
    8. Foles
    9.
    10. Smith
    11. Kaepernick
    12. Dalton

I'm not as down on Russ as most are on here, nor am I as high on Luck, which is why they're basically tied, tbh....

Under that situation, I certainly wouldn't have that choke artist Fivehead anywhere near that high on the list, dude would be liable to throw a pick....

He's ranked there based on no body of work. Colin ranked #12 because we all saw him fail to cash in on a GW drive in the Super Bowl last year. I would have completed that pass to Crabtree, hold or no hold. You know, because I'm white.

    agreed

i've always liked Chatterjee and don't understand the hate he gets around here. I would have the Rivers/Brees/Manning etc group and he would be right behind them

tough question tbh. i'd probably go Rodgers - Brady at the top 2. the rest are so ing volatile its hard to gauge. Smith, Dalton, and Kaepernick are probably at the bottom, with Luck not much higher tbh.

it i'll try to put a list together

    Rodgers
    Brady
    Manning
    Brees
    Wilson
    Rivers
    Foles
    Newton
    Luck
    Kaepernick
    Dalton
    Smith

Why is Brady so high up on these lists? Peyton has won a superbowl more recently than Brady, and without cheating. Even with his choking, Peyton > Brady.

    Rodgers
    Brees
    Peyton
    Brady/Wilson
    Luck
    Rivers
    Foles
    Cam
    Smith
    Kaep
    Dalton

...in order from first to worst on who'd you want starting for your team this playoffs:
    1. Tom Brady - has beaten plenty of NFC defenses this year (TB/ATL/NO//PHI/DET/NYG) including playoff teams led by Brees/Foles
    2. Colin Kaepernick - "corporate knowledge", chip on his shoulder from SB XLVII
    3. Andrew Luck - tough/durable and I think would hold up well against CAR/NO/SEA defense
    4. Drew Brees - of the two midgets, gotta go with a proven winner in the playoffs
    5. Russell Wilson - up and coming , could make a lot of noise
    6. Peyton Manning - could the be overdue for a season/career-ending injury? Intensity changes in the playoffs. Don't see him faring too well against CAR/NO/SEA defense
    7. Aaron Rodgers - would rate higher if not for the collarbone injury
    8. Nick Foles - impressed with his reads/decision making thus far. needs to beat DAL first to get in, though
    9. Cam Newton - not sold, easily comes across as a mental chimp, just not that confident in him in pressure situations
    10. Philip Rivers - not enough exposure to NFC defenses this year
    11. Alex Smith - still a game manager, never fully confident in him during his time with SF
    12. Andy Dalton - in his two career playoff appearances, has 0 TDs and 4 INTs, 25.1 and 15.1 QBR, respectively

Of all 12 qbs I'd say, yes, he has the best understanding of the system. Fair enough on the "chip/shoulder thing", could also argue A. Smith has more to prove

Brady lost to Carolina this year... and has not played Philiadelphia, Detroit, or the Gaints this year. Are you ing re ed? I'm glad you mentioned he played Tampa Bay. REALLY ups his credibility

So even you admit he sucks this year but you still would only take Brady over him?

On this 49er team, yes. For me Brady seems like a plug-n-play caliber player. just makes good decisions overall.
