On Gregg Popovich:
“The league is one challenge after another after another. Pop has become a good friend of mine over the years. It’s obvious what he’s accomplished. I think everybody in our profession kind of view him as the guy. When you’re some place for 18 years straight, nobody has done that since Jerry Sloan, and Sloan was there for 21 or 22 years, and everybody said that will never be done again. It will all depend on how Pop wants to go. But he’s the best of the best in my opinion. I think he’s the greatest coach ever, mostly because he’s been able to do it with a system. He’s got great players, but he’s done with a system, and he’s adapted their personnel to his system, and he’s done it with so many different moving parts over the years. It’s just been a phenomenal accomplishment.”
Every single recent movie of his can be summed up with this
He hasn't rung since '07, and he gave away one last June. He employed a rapist and he conspired with two players to quit on their team so he could reap the reward of their labor on his team. Under his watch their was rampant wife swapping and fornication as well as sexuality on his team.
Let us proceed...
Cully drops the line with some extra saucy bait. Let's see if someone takes a bite...
...nope...they ain't got a hair on their ass tonite. I'd in' rearrange their in' and they know it.
we're talking about his coaching abilities not his moral scorecard
I read this on wikipedia too
Only thing Pop is missing is a badge apparently.
Only very bored people talk to the chicken nowadays.
And God Bless Him.
Why not? No worse than any random Catholic Priest...
And I've never heard of any priest, much less Catholic ringing in the NBA once, much less four times.
Pope What's-His-Fuss should give him a lifetime achievement award.
Not to mention his GM and assistant coach both getting DUI's
He's one generous coach, that Pop.
