The thing is this gesture DOES NOT mean anything BUT "Take your bull up your ass!"... The guy who created this (more than 10 years ago!), Dieudonné, is an anti-racist who did not accept the fact that we basically have to hear about the Shoah everyday but when you want to talk about slavery nobody listens... The Zionist community here in France decided this gesture was antisemite (the first guy who tried to give a definition is A.Jakubowicz), so the media followed... As simple as that. We used to make fun here in France a few years ago that there was no more freedom of press in your country and we're finally seeing it happen here too...

Dieudonné, the Quenelle father, is a very funny humorist who made a anti-zionist sketch more than 10 years ago on the French TV. He became instantly the public enemy N°1 in France. Problem is: over the years, he went from being anti-zionist (which is completely fine by me) to being anti semitic.

Please, try to think a little people... He attacks all forms of communautarism... Though, I often think he goes too far in his criticisms (which may have led some to think he's racist) but hey the guy has always been like that, you won't tell him what to think or what to say... He made, years ago, a sketch on French TV against Israel colonies and became instantly the Public Enemy N°1. Before that, he used to attack and mock everyone. As soon as he realised that making fun of jews was quite sensitive, he decided to attack them, and them only. That is a stupid, childish reaction and I regret it deeply since he is/was the funniest french humorist by far.
