LOL, son... Auburn is not a "should win" vs. FSU. FSU is a clear favorite.

Florida State is new to the big dance these days. It's been forever since they have been a le contender. They need to prove they are truly legit by knocking out a SEC team in a le game. Until that happens, they will be the true underdog no matter what the media says.
If they knock off Auburn then they will have earned the right to be considered legit in future games.
This Auburn team has little to do with the one that won the le.
SEC is the real football conference in college football.
Every other conference is borderline high school caliber with the exception of a handful of teams each year.
The last decade or so proves it. The SEC is king and teams in other conferences need to prove they are worthy of the national le by beating an SEC team in the le game.
Reply in bold.
I think worst case scenario the SEC goes 8-3 this bowl season.
Likely scenario is 9-2 or 10-1. They always have at least one team the bed. Pretty hard to completely run the table, but certainly not impossible.
This is the usual fallback when a fan's SEC team isn't in the championship.
If there were an online sports betting service that I trusted and Auburn were less 1 touchdown underdog or less, then I would happily bet four figures on FSU.
LOL the SEC has benefited from all the real power programs being down. USC, Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Michigan, FSU Miami and Notre Dame. None of the true power schools are up over the last few years. FSU is the first power school to actually put up a decent team. I'm sure Texas will be back in a few years as will USC and then the SEC will be back to sucking hind like they were through the 90's and most of the early 2000's
LMAO! ... son let's look at some recent history over the last decade of the "real power program" teams you listed above in the le games vs SEC....
2009
Alabama - 37
Texas - 21
2008
Florida - 24
Oklahoma - 14
2007
LSU - 38
Ohio State - 24
2006
Florida - 41
Ohio State - 14
2003
LSU - 21
Oklahoma - 14
but okay ... it's just because those programs are down! lol
son speaking of Texas ... they need to worry about learning how to win their own below average CONFERENCE more than just TWICE IN THE LAST 16 YEARS! I mean seriously? 2 conference les in 16 years? that's ing pathetic.
Meanwhile that legendary SEC defense is murdering Duke and holding them to a paltry 38 points at halftime.
ball game. A&M got this on lock.
Duke had a fluke first half. now it's back to reality.
I did laugh at this, especially after what FSU did to Duke.
Having to come back to beat Dook
son it's A&M ... they, like Missouri are the bas , red headed step child of the SEC. still newbies adjusting to the greatness of what it means to represent the SEC.
and like I said, even the sun shines on a dog's ass every now and then. Duke had a fluke first half.
Aggy will always be Aggy, a yearly disappointment with a weird cult fanbase.... Mizzou seems to be adjusting just fine, tbh....
Problem is most recruits want to play in the SEC and most of the talent is in the South. Schools like LSU, Georgia, and Florida will always have tons of talent . Bama, A&M, Auburn, and Ole Miss have strong recruiters. Texas ain't gonna be anytime soon. They were irrelevant in the 80s and 90s and the only strong team they had got curbstomped by Miami in the Cotton Bowl.
USC just hired a mediocre coach, Notre Dame will never be the school they were in the past, Michigan sucks ass, Oklahoma never could compete with SEC schools. Only legit threats are FSU and Ohio State, but the SEC will always have a recruiting edge over most schools.
Yeah Vito is in denial especially with how his own school will be down for awhile.
The only SEC school who's a legitimate underdog is Auburn. LSU and Georgia may be in trouble since they have backup QBs starting. I think Missouri should win, but their QB sucks ass.
like I said ... Texas needs to worry about learning how to win their own below average conference more than twice in the last 16 years before anything else.
(edit: I stand CORRECTED .... Texas has only won their conference le twice in the last 17 years. not 16 years.)
Its funny how Vito criticizes the SEC for their lack of success in the 90s and early 2000s while ignoring how dog Texas was in the 80s and 90s.
