I was about to post that for Shad and Cormier this is not a big fight.
THIS IS VERY VERY VERY VERY HUGE AND IMPORTANT FIGHT !
Both guys in le picture and both can fall drastically if losing.
Nuff said IMO that's eliminator fight
Ditto for McDonald and Maia - the winner vaults up into contender status (and yes, I know, WW is frigging stacked...)

It's not really a big fight for Cormier, imo. If he happens to lose, it will be because it was his first serious weight cut in his career and he didn't train properly. We all know that he is the better fighter. If Shad wins, it will be a fluke and he will lose his next fight. That being said, Shad is going to get beat, again, and will just keep that gate for the next few years until he finally goes away.
- Daniel Cormier vs. poor schlub no-namer -- I love upsets, but I'm not seeing it here.
- Rory MacDonald vs. Demian Maia -- Maia is on a roll, and is gonna sub Rory like the he is.
- Mike Pyle vs. T.J. Waldburger -- I think Pyle is going to lose, but how can you not pick him?
- Rafael dos Anjos vs. Rustam Khabilov -- Always pick the Russian over the Brazilian.
- Rousy vs. McMaan -- I hate her, but she's good -- and I have a le to win this year.

I saw a video of Cormier doing a seminar in Russia and he looks like he is around 215-220 now.

He was 226 for his previous fight if I'm correct to be honest
224. He plans on getting down to 215 then cutting water weight down to 205 for the weigh in.

This actually happens a lot. You would think these guys are just winding the camp down and focusing on technique but they must do hard sparring and grappling right to the week of the fight. Knee injuries are not that rare this far out surprisingly.
