I was so mad that night cause i thought we made a mistake. But i trusted the spurs FO instinct and 2 years later, we were back to the finals.

Memphis only beat us in 2011 because Manu missed game one, and we lost at the buzzer. If we're leading 3-2 instead of trailing 2-3, they fold like a cheap card table in game 6. A pure fluke.

Forgetting Duncan had a "best big at age 37" season.
Forgetting Splitter's emergence as an elite defensive, low-usage big.
Forgetting the Spurs dramatically upgraded their perimeter by adding Green and Leonard while Memphis only added Prince and Pondexter.
