Best last play ever!
Poor execution overall. Lynch and their pass defense was really good. Overall the o-line played well for the Saints, but Brees was shaky overall. Poor clock management in the 4th, missed throws.
Wilson didn't do much and is not close to being an elite QB, but that last throw was big.
Best last play ever!
I hope Percy makes it back too...would hate to see another great former Minnesota receiver's career inexplicably fall off a cliff
Saints sucked on both ends in the 1st half, 2nd half the defense was great (except for the Lynch TD) and when the D got multiple great stops they just didn't execute enough. It was definitely a winnable game. The ty 1st half proved to be too much in this one.
The D wasn't great in the first half but the Seahawks had a short field throughout and the Saints offense couldn't score even on long drives. Saints ran the ball well, but Brees was shaky overall which is why Payton probably should have stuck with the run even in the 4th. Saints had their chances, but they couldn't get it down.
But overall how bad was Wilson. How many easy throws did he miss? I can't see him winning a Super Bowl this season. Their defense and Lynch were great, yet won a close game at home because he struggled.
If we would've lost this game, it would've been on Russell for not making enough plays when the weather cleared up in certain areas in the second half. Both passing games were non existent due to weather in the first half, and obviously with a sizable lead in the second half there was no need to open the passing game up. N.O had to open it up due to the deficit, and we decided to run clock. Time was on our side, and fortunately it worked out. Why Mark Ingram is still a Saint, I have no idea. That turnover was basically the difference in the game. He hasn't made much of an impact since being in N.O. Khiry is a beast. Rafael Bush deserves a lot of credit for setting a tone on the back end, he played a of a game.
GOTS post in the ing Pats-Colts game thread you dumb s
Damn, this is getting out of hand pretty early.
Congrats Seattle fans. The Saints had their chances, but they really needed everything to go right for them to win this game, because Seattle is simply a better overall team. The Ingram fumble and 2 missed FG's were things that Saints just couldn't have.
