Good game fellas. You guys probably have something there with Khiry. I'd get rid of Ingram.

Good season. Defense was the strength of this team. Overall a very young team, but the offense needs to improve.
son the offense was 4th in the NFL ... we're just spoiled and used to being either #1 or #2. plain and simple.

regardless even when they were #1, there is always room for improvement.

You're welcome. Likewise, your team will be good for a long time too. You probably found that dependable runner you've been looking for, just a little to late in the season. You're probably a much different team at this point in the year if he was in from day one. And with that defense, there will likely be a repeat champion in that division next year. I'm highly interested to see what you guys do in the next draft.

It was 4th overall, but not what we saw in 2009 and 2011. Big reason was the o-line play. They will get better. Sure up the o-line and secondary and this team will be hard to beat next season.

the offensive line is about the only thing that needs to be fixed on the offense. I know many are quick to bash Ingram (myself included at times), but the offensive line was atrocious for most of this season. Ingram had a terrible and game changing fumble today that may cost him his job. however he had to work with for most of the season. I'm fine either way with whatever they decide to do with him.

I think we lose Lance Moore as well. he is due $3.8M next season and he didn't produce much this season. I know he was hurt a good chunk of the year and did deliver a few good catches towards the end of the season, but depending on how the money gets spread around to improve the line I'm not sure they will be willing to spend $3.8M on a 31 year old receiver.

I agree about Moore. He's replaceable.

Ingram was a bust overall but he played really well in the 2nd half of the season. He's not as versatile as Pierre, but he's a better rusher at this point.

I do wish the Saints would be a consistent running team especially on the road.

BRHornet45, you are right that your O-line needs some help. But, Robinson played pretty damn well this game, showed great patience and hit the holes hard. I'm thinking of what could have been if he had 25 carries today . I'm not necessarily sure if I'd feel overly sympathetic for Ingram. It has been several years

well Ingram only cost $712,000 this year. not sure what his contract calls for next season, but it can't be much more than that if he is still in his rookie contract.

like I said though ... I could careless what they do with him. it wasn't always his fault when the running game sucked when you consider the ty offensive line, but he also didn't do enough this season for me to argue for him.

oh and with Moore ... I would love to be able to keep him. he's been on the active roster for 8 years and with the organization for 9 years (practice squad his first year after going undrafted).

this is when the business part of the NFL sucks.

GG and congrats on the win. Offensive line and kicker are our 2 main needs heading into the offseason. Hopefully Greer can recover as well and give us another year or 2 of good CB play.

The fact that the Saints made it back to the elite 8 this season after having the worst defense in the history of the NFL last season was a big step moving forward. Good season. Not great, but good.

I have never seen Sean Payton get so conservative with his play calling as he did this season. his conservative play calling pretty much single handily lost both the New England and Carolina games. both of those losses were on Sean in my opinion. that turns what should have been a 13-3 season and locking up the division and home field advantage into an 11-5 season fighting on the road.

I feel like this was another wasted season just like 2011. This team was good enough to make a Super Bowl run with an elite QB and a top 5 defense. However choke losses at New England and Carolina and bad road losses to the Rams and Jets cost them homefield. This team could beat anyone on a neutral field. Even today at Seattle they out gained the Seahawks 409 to 277 in yards. Had 25 first downs compared to their 13. They sacked Wilson 3 times and held them to barely over a 100 yards passing. Yet they got in the Seahawks 30 three times without any points and didn't run the ball enough when needed.

Agreed. Payton relied too heavily on the defense at the end of those games instead of stepping on the team's throats when he should have. I'm still not sure if we would have been able to go to Seattle and win in the NFC Championship game even if we had gone 13-3 and gotten the bye and a home game.

This Saints team just didn't play good enough on the road this season, plain and simple. We only averaged 19 ppg on the road.

I think the future is bright though because of our talented defense moving forward.

I agree. Those were two gut wrenching losses where the offense could have put the game away sooner.

We couldn't afford to fall behind 16-0. But even though we did, if Graham makes his 2 FGs, we are only down 2 points at the end instead of 8, Colston steps out of bounds there and we kick the game winning FG. Definitely frustrating.

That Jet game really hurt. I figured it would come back to haunt you guys. That Ram loss too, although I wouldn't put my head down losing to St. Louis.

Today was a winnable game. They moved the ball well throughout but couldn't score points. Defense was strong overall, the offense ran the ball well, but they got mistakes were costly throughout that cost them points.

Bad punt and Bush's penalty give the Seahawks 3 points.

Missed FG leads to another FG for the Hawks where they only drove 34 yards.

Ingram fumble sets up a touchdown.

Disasterous series after Meachem bomb ends with zero points.
