He shouldn't even be in the D-league. He pick up his dribble in the lane like a 8yr old. Seriously im tryna teach my son to face the basket an dont stop dribbling until your about to pass or shoot! I'd rather Beno from the Knicks.

if you don't play him regularly, a young player will look tier than he is.

He's clearly regressed from last year, and it has everything to do with losing the backup PG to Patty. Last season he was full of confidence, knew his role and played it really well[/I]. He was a low-mistake offensive player that got his team into the sets and played solid D.

Now, he plays with a complete lack of surety and forces the action when there's nothing there leading to poor execution and turnovers. The defensive effort is still there at least, but outside of that he's lost.

The good news is I think he can break out of the funk. I'm just not sure what motivational button Pop has to push.

That happens when you are working with young players but not interested in truly developing these players.

Cory is just stuck in the wrong situation, unfortunately.

He's young and still learning the game. He has talent (which is shown by him being able to dominate the DLeague level), but it doesn't seem to translate to the NBA game...yet, anyways.

To his credit, Joseph has always accepted his role and been ready to play. He has also played for the last two years up in Austin and instead of pouting, he's used it as a positive experience (and helped lead the team to a le). If the Spurs weren't already bloated with guards who can handle the ball (Parker, Mills, De Colo, Ginobili, Belinelli), Joseph might be able to carve out a spot on the team and be a project worth working on.

I don't think the DLeague can do much more for him at this point. The sad truth is that there are just too many people in line in front of him, and he doesn't have what it takes to separate himself. Unfortunately, CoJo's basketball future is most likely with another team, if not another league.

He has a wide open drive on the baseline and he tries to go glass on a 90 degree angle. That's just dumb and no amount of game time will help.

He sucks. So does nando. They are waste of $ and roster spots. An insurance policy perhaps, but a lousy one. I'd rather have DJ Augustin. And that dude stinks.

Joseph spent nearly two full seasons in Austin with the DEVELOPMENT league tbqh. He played well toward the end of last season and got key minutes in the playoffs, showing plenty of growth from when he was drafted.

COJO > Mills for real... you think Mills is gonna be able to play run and gun style in the playoffs, shooting threes on fast break? No, we need someone with decent size and Cojo > Mills on defense who can slow the game down and set up others.

This story on CoJo is a little tough. I s it fair? He has seemed to hit a level off but it's hard
to judge him on his time in the games.

Okay I was wrong. DEAD WRONG. All he needed was real playing time. He made some great moves last night, his confidence is up. He's also hit so e quality shots, and an impressive 1 on 2 finish at the rim.

He is improving and seems to be a bit more confident, but he hesitates way to much on open 3's. We can't have a guard that can't shoot. He is active defensively and can board a bit but Mills is a 3pt machine and has a quick release. I'd give playoff minutes to Patty until he can't be productive.

He has the tools and assets to be a really solid combo guard, and his shot release and mechanics aren't broken. It's just a matter of time until he breaks out. However it's all mental with him, and the last few games haven't been much of a scope due to all the injuries at the wing position. When players are healthy, he's shown a lot of complacency compared to now. If only he had Patty's mentality..

Trade him while you can still get a third round pick for him.

Cory is doing a good job. I don't understand SpursTalk sometimes.
