It was alright. Calling it 's a little strong. It was still great visually, the graphics and cinematography. The action scenes were badass, especially the barrel/river scene. Bilbo was an awesome character. Unfortunately, Smaug was pretty underwhelming. I'm glad he at least dies in the beginning of There and Back Again. Basically, the last 30 min or so was a dud

Holy I forgot to mention the blatantly obvious black people thrown in and shown close up. It was embarrassing. So, there's at least a VERY tiny few black people in Middle Earth, they only live in Lake Town, and they're FULLY black somehow

Finally got around to seeing it. It was about 20 minutes too long as I suspected, but pretty good for a middle movie.

On a technical note, HFR 3D is the way to go for me if I bother with 3D. Pretty much eliminates the motion flickering that I find annoying.

I'm done with 3D forever. Post childhood Avatar is the ONE movie that's made it worth it and that was all it had going for it. A waste of $2-4

saw it today. took a nice nap during the smaug sequence and didn't miss a thing lol.

good movie to waste time for if you saw the first one. they're milking this book wayyy too much though. all the action will happen in the third based on what happened in the book.

I'm done with 3D forever. Post childhood Avatar is the ONE movie that's made it worth it and that was all it had going for it. A waste of $2-4

I'm done with 3D too until they do away with those confounded glasses you have to wear.
As for the movie? First rate IMHO.

yes but there's still PLENTY of Tolkien for him to play around with, and that does not include elves getting romantic with ing dwarves
