The answer is obviously Tom Brady.

where will Cam Newton end up on this list when the Panthers give him a stupid contract?
Definitely Romochoke.... the entertainment from his yearly chokejobs is worth every penny![]()
Only one on that list worth the money is Rodgers. A case could be made for Manning and Brees but the former needs to win the SB this year to prove it and the latter is on the decline these days.
Rodgers is the only reason why the Packers are considered a good team
Strange argument. None of those figures shows who's worth the money and who's not. It just shows who's been the best deal out of the top 10. They should have put in the average per-dollar ratios for all QBs so we'd have a baseline to go on. Drew Brees being more worth his deal than Flacco means little if they're both dramatically overpaid compared to the average. That's like arguing AD is worth his money just because he's had a better rate of return than CJ.
Obviously, this doesn't address the fact that QBs in general are being massively overpaid, not just the top contracts.
the absolute sheer ignorance and pure stupidity in this post is truly legendary.
yep Peyton Manning needs to win another Super Bowl to please you ESPN fans (lol)
yep Brees is on the decline ... he only threw for 5162 yards, 39 touchdowns, 12 interceptions this season and over 300 yards and zero turnovers in the final playoff game of the season. pure trash and declining. time to look at our options of trading this piece of Romo-like .
Son you asked who was truly worth the money and I gave you my honest opinion; don't get mad at me because it's widely theorized your boy's become a TOSB.
Manning puts up godly numbers during the regular season yet has only produced one Super Bowl win (and several notable playoff flame-outs) for it. , if the Saints hadn't bountied up against the Vikings or had gone up against any other competent QB they prolly lose.
As for Brees, it can be argued his success stems from having Payton as a coach. It also hasn't helped his case that he sucks on the road, though that's to be expected from anyone on the Saints. He puts up great numbers in a system with a great defense, yet when you take that away he really doesn't look like a $20m QB.
Pot calling the kettle black, etc
i definitely don't agree with the Brees is on the decline argument at all.
i guess if you want to say he's a system QB that's fine, but his numbers in no way are falling off if you look at his stats this year?
the argument really doesn't have much traction to me tbh, the 20M contracts are the standard right now but it has become only since a few years. Give it a little time and aside of rookie qbs, they will all have pretty much that sum.
Schaub...he's going to get cut before the season starts so he will be off that list soon.
If Manning really wanted another ring with Denver, he would have taken a few mill less so Denver could get/keep some talent on D.
props to Brady for not being on this list
people are forgetting one thing .... not everyone is married to Gisele Bundchen who has an estimated net worth of $290M.
so before you hug the nuts of Tom Brady and act as if he is some selfless hero you need to take that into consideration. Tom's salary even in his best years is chump change to what his wife makes. shaving off a few million from his annual salary is nothing to them. Gisele can make that up with a weekend's worth of work.
Son, if Fivehead doesn't ring with this team, he's a lifelong chokerPERIOD
plus he's a system QB
deep down inside he knows it
wtf? i consider what he has done this year to as good a job a qb can do. What Brady is doing this year is more like an absolute miracle, but that's another story.
Most of that was drunken rambling, nothing to see here...
Though I still stand by Rodgers being the only one definitively worth $20M+ as of right now.
Rodgers is the best QB in the league so it's him..
is he, tbh?
fixed.
not even Peyton Manning fans are as hardcore as the Rodgers fans are with that . every other QB gets roasted when their teams lose in the playoffs, but somehow Rodgers always gets a free pass.
