i believe that was the year kobe was afraid to go cause he was afraid of terrorists, isnt that the same time he went and did some modeling wearing a turban and ?
So Jim's plan was to coattail Kobe all the way to olympic gold? But spurfan led me to believe Jim could carry groups of scrubs to NBA championships

Real talk, Duncan was the system in his prime years. The system 4 down was basically pass him the ball in the post and either let him go 1 on 1, pass it too a cutter or create a double team and kick it to a 3 point shooter.

kobe has never had that much responsibilty in any of his championship years, tbh.

Yes, because Italy and Argentina are ing powerhouses. The US had all-stars and stars in the making, Jim failed as a leader and a player and consequently exiled himself from olympic basketball forever and ever.

at Duncan being a "system player" when he has succeeded in both the 4 Down and the motion offense....

A system player is someone like DWill, who has sucked ass without Sloan's system making him look good....
6 and 8 says he's a colossal failure in the motion offense.

Where was his leadership? You mean to tell me he had better NBA teammates than the Matrix - who just so happened to win a rang under Dirk's leadership? -10 points sn

Duncan was NBA-ref dependent. FIBA-refs didn't play that . Proof? 4x NBA champion vs. 1x Olympic Bronze Medalist.

    Duncan made Pop tbh.

In the early days the system was:

    1- 4 down Duncan
    2- 4 down Duncan
    3- 4 down Duncan
    4- Let D.Rob shoot a jumper

The Pop system(aka 2009-2013) has won 0 championships so far

Plus Larry Brown refused to play the rookies per par and allowed Iverson and Marbury to chuck the team into embarrassment, tbh.... and let's not forget how Kirby refused to play for his country that year because he was too busy with The Rape

Lakerfan's constant attempts to blame the bronze medal on Duncan and LeBron are just reaching and deflecting....

Kobe and the lakers with a prime shaq couldn't even rang until Phil came in. Then when jackson leaves momentarily kobe can't even get the job done. His dependence on the triangle led to bad seasons. Even so far that his ass got demoted to all nba third team in his prime years.

The Pop system kept you ungrateful assholes relevant for this long, he's not the one who didn't box out, or the one who missed the free throw, or the one who missed the layup. The cuck allowed himself to be taken out of the game in a championship clinching situation

He's just the one who took out the best big in the series on two consecutive possessions when he needed a stop and a rebound.

One free throw seals it most likely. Did Pop miss it?

lol "most likely". Spurs should have been up by 15 points, but Pop's subs in the 4th were atrocious and showed total disregard for how the players were performing that night. It wasn't an adjustment he was making, it was as if he was going by a predetermined, regular season minutes schedule that did not take into account the situation.

They were in position still to close it out. Make your free throws and it's over. That simple.
