Interesting point of view. Obviously I don't agree. People act as if wide outs aren't allowed to be touched, let alone jammed up. Sherman was pushed in the back by Crabtree on that last throw yet he still made the play. Nobody talks about that, so it goes both ways out there. Someone might respond with, "Well, they're getting hit so much they have to respond etc." Nonsense. We jam, take the five yards, disrupt the route, and contest.
I'm interested to see if we have enough depth to stop this juggernaut of an offense, and the 2 billion rub routes they run.
sons Iggy gonna get in trouble for this ...

Even the announcers said what you just said. They asked each other what do you do when the defense is allowed to hold, grab and the refs aren't calling it (this was in the DEN game); the answer was the offensive player needs to throw the defensive player out of the way.
Like I said, SEA is the best defense in the league and would be even if they got called when they should (because they would adjust), however, it's pretty clear they know how to push the rules more than anyone and it's smart.
this thread isn't condemning Sherman for his post-game interview, I thought it was funny, tbh(although it's well-known that Sherman is a PED abuser that suffers from roid rage, tbh)..
It's about Sherman talking and basking in the spotlight/hype due to shutting down a decent WR in Crabtree, knowing he's going to get murdered against Demaryius in 2 weeks, tbh..
you mean the same demaryius that couldn't even get a catch against talib?you are dreaming brother
I think Denver intentionally ran that rub route and set the hard hit on Talib today (which ended up knocking him out of the game) to set a tone that they won't be pushed around.
I fully expect to see them do that to Sherman in 2 weeks.
True. I think that was smart and thought it was a tremendous strategy that I applaud. Takes guts to play like that.
People are just so used to Goodell's pussified football now that any contact defensively = "dirty," tbh....
Pretty much. It's not even worth getting fired up about when the topic comes up. Most of the criticism is blind hate, and it's understandable as our secondary wants people to hate them. So I understand why people become irrational when the emotion comes out. Everyone wants to see the QB march their team down the field every drive and see a shootout without restriction. They ruined Hockey and Basketball with this nonsense. I'm surprised that some teams have been able to combat this issue in Football to some extent.
It was hilarious and twitter has been hilarious for the last hour because of it
And lol @ the racists ITT
Sherman graduated from Stanford with a 3.9 and he didn't use any profanity in the interview. He was just hype after the game.
let me guess: african american studies? intro to english? intro to math? intro to film?
Does it really matter?
He's making a ton more than you right now, and he's going to be making more than you when he gets out. That's a degree from ing Stanford.
at least I don't cats like you.
gr8 retort
Yeah, it does...NFL players only have a finite amount of time to make all the money they'll make in their lifetime, and most of them end up broke. If he got a LA degree he won't get work from any credible employer after his behavior on national TV (unsafe workplace and whatnot). He'll then try to be an analyst on NFL Network, but I'm guessing the well has run dry on -talking secondary players since Darren Sharper's rape charge. Gonna be "A Football Life: Richard Sherman," detailing his tragic demise in about a decade.
You s are some ing gots, as is if the Forty Whiners are classy, GTFO. They'd be talking just as much if they would of won.
