agree with Doctor tbh, haven't downloaded or played any FIFA game since FIFA09.
btw, one needs at least a doctorate's degree in order to qualify as a doctor. OP is only 28yr old and he's been working as a doctor for quite some years so he must have got his doctorate's in his early 20s, amazing tbh. And you're only the 2nd person I know who has a doctorate's degree and who plays such crappy games tbh. The first was one I knew in our school lab during my undergraduate years, and he didn't even notice I saw him playing such stupid games
Both franchises are s anyway. I guess it's really hard for mother ers to make any legit soccer games when they don't know soccer, not at all. championship manager 01-02 is by far the best soccer-related game I've ever played tbh, and I'm still playing that game today with up-to-date roster. And the time I often spend playing CM is even more than that I spend posting on spurstalk tbh.

Pro Evo games were originally designed for such platforms like PS, PS2 and Xbox imho, so the game's compatibility with PC has probably never been a priority to the game designers, imho. PES was the true power in soccer games through the 2000s (like the soccer version of today's NBA 2k games), but in recent years FIFA has taken over the lead according to a friend of mine who's a hardcore fan of soccer games.
Sports games are iterated every year and each year they try and add new things to that. They also require a lot of physics to the characters, from their head movement down to their feet. Add those things upon a new console development and you get a lot of bugs like these from sports games.
Every sport game except the sony MLB series is pretty terrible this year
Fans don't need a new version of a sports game (like NBA lives) every year. We just want up-to-date roster patches to our old game but the game makers (EA, Sports Interactive etc...) never make such patches, instead they make a completely new version to the game series each year, so fans who can't find new-season roster downloads will have to buy it. While the interface may appear to be different than the prior version, the game engine is only renewed every 3-4 years imho. For example, NBA lives 05-08 are built basically on the same engine.
