Decent amount of rain that froze. It's fine just crawling around the highways and frontage roads but people will kill themselves trying to get to work. Interesting there isn't much sand out yet on 183.

It's not too bad out there. I should have used the remote start because my truck doors were frozen shut. All the freeways are closed but if you don't drive like an idiot you can get around fine. I hit ice on a couple of bridges but not bad.

Hey guys, how is the weather from Temple to San Antonio? Family member got into an accident in SA this morning and wife is insisting on going. Is it real icy out there on 35? Snow?

I know 35 is closed in downtown San Antonio. The same 18 wheelers have been parked there by my office since at least 6am when I got there so I can't imagine how far traffic would be backed up by now. I'd be shocked if 35 is open in Austin as well.

They are saying it's at least three hours to get a tow truck if you get into an accident

Great day to work from home that's for sure, there's been over 200 accidents reported here. It'll be fine to drive on it a bit if not already though.

Sidenote- why the are people so stupid here? I know we don't get allot of weather like this but still, when their is ice out there don't ing speed! It's a no wonder they have to shut this whole city down at a hint of freeze lol

A lot worse are the ones going 20 and hitting their brakes when they think there is ice.

Thats true, that too. I have no idea why these people think breaking on ice is a good idea. I go slow and to slow down I use my lower gears, letting the higher engine revs slow me down, only breaking when im at a near complete stop.

That's one of the few good things about SA. A light feathering of ice and the city explodes and shuts down.
Bruh. You should experience SoCal during Storm Watch 20__. Peeps go crazy like the end of the world as we know it is nigh. ers drive like its NYE each and e'ery day and its hilarious. There is a simultaneous lack of control when there is even a hint of sprinkles or light rain out hea.

Went into the office at 12 today. Traffic still sucked around 1604/281 but sleeping in was nice.

Yup, 1-2 inches of snow expected for Houston area, coming west from SA.
