There is a big difference in picking and choosing moments and having a broken shot. He's driving much better which is great but if his deep shot goes wayward like it did last year, it makes the Spurs ceiling much lower (with regards to winning a le).
You saw that a team like MIA could completely shut Manu down if all he is a passer. He has to space the floor and knock down shots especially in the playoffs.

And Miami will probably focus on him and shut him down again... that's what good teams do. That's why there's Belli as another option now. I don't think the Spurs have any regrets about Manu, and looking at the fact Pop hasn't changed his role an iota, it looks like they're happy with what they have there. Hopefully he can stay healthy.
