Hardly any Mav fans were on the Dirk bandwagon after 2007 there were multiple threads I saw where a bunch of them wanted to trade him for KG..

and they were dead wrong

however, I was not one of those. I believe Findog wasn't either. Unfortunately, probably most of the rest were. Would have been interesting to see KG as a Mav though. I'm sure we would have loved to see him guide the Mavs to annual 30-40 win seasons.

tbh though, most of it was a bunch of quick kneejerk reactions. i think most Mavs fans were right back on the dirk bandwagon shortly afterwards, when they realized that KG really was not the answer.

Yeah, I've probably made a lot of knee jerk reactionary statements involving the Spurs over the years..point is everyone was down on the Mavs after 2007 just like everyone will be down on the Spurs after the similar 48 minute GS coronation in game 6 of this series..

I honestly dgaf so don't get mad at me..point is people were way down on dirk after 07..

I had many meltdowns after the Suns ran about 4200 Nash Amare pick and rolls at Duncan en route to a sweep in 2010..the phrases "traffic cone" and "mummy" may have been used..Duncan's body recovered though and his mobility came back and he was excellent overall on defense this year so what do I know..probably tons of Spur fans were down on Duncan after his pick and roll D that series..point is; heat of the moment fans always say crazy over the top things..

i was 50/50 at first, but never truly wanted Dirk gone. I understood the reasoning why many mavs fans wanted KG, but always preferred to keep Dirk. Turns out that keeping Dirk >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> trading him for KG. that would have been the biggest mistake in Mavericks history, as opposed to dismantling the championship team
